The Kyanite Hoody is our go to fleece for autumn hiking, or under a beta jacket in the winter. Most comfortable hoody on the planet. The updated version has an improved neck, and strengthened pockets.

    Was pretty disappointed when I received this fleece. Other fleece zip-ups that I have had that cost $15 were nicer than this one. This was thin, the material felt like it would pill or snag, and it bunched in the zipper. Bummed to have to return this as I really liked the color and love my Atom jackets.

        I absolutely LOVED this jacket, until the first time I washed it. I paid full price for the black Kyanite Hoody at an Arc'Teryx store in NY. I loved the style of the zipper and the pockets and the texture of the stretch fleece. It was just slightly clingy which made it fit very flatteringly and I loved the dark smooth black outside and soft yummy fleece inside. I wore it many times until I finally has to wash it yesterday. I saw other reviews warning of pilling, so was careful to wash in a laundry bag. Sadly it looks like a different jacket. No longer dark and smooth, the fabric contains slight pilling which attracts tiny specs of lint, which are not easily removed by a lint roller and must be plucked off by hand. But the fabric still looks dull and pilled in places. I didn't mind paying $200 for a gorgeous jacket that I could use often, but now, feel I got a cheap product for a high price. Sorry to have to write this.

            Great fit and nice change to the hood profile. Bought and returned the dark teal colour: love this sweater and have 2 I swear by, but this newest version has reinforced pockets. Great for protecting the pockets, pain in the butt to open - you need to hold the material with one hand and open with the other. Not super practical so returned it. If you're not fussed about this, highly recommend the sweater.
