Sac banane Mantis 1

Like the previous design much better. Returned because the opening of this new design is too narrow. Not partical.

I own the previous gen, and was happy to see some new colors, and ordered the new Graphite as a back up my current Mantis 1 as it's a few years old. The material is great and the sizing is on point when compared to the previous gen. The strap is less wide and still retains the same length so you can wear as a sling like the previous Mantis. The changes for me inside the bag were not highlighted on the product page. On the previous Mantis the key loop was on the outside smaller pocket and that was excellent to keep my keys in their own pocket to not scratch what was in the main compartment (phone and glasses) On the redesigned Mantis the divider is shorter and was relocated to towards the front of the bag. I used to keep my iPhone in the back of the divider and it was protected by the padding on the back and in its own spot. I know some people just slipped their phone in the rear (padded vertical compartment) however I have a plus sized phone and the top is exposed and doesn't fit all the way so I liked it to be in the main compartment. The new redesigned Mantis the phone only fit in the main larger compartment with the relocation of the divider it no longer had its own place and I worried about scratches. Also the key loop is now located in the internal zippered pocket, although this is a good idea I kept my wallet in that pocket to ensure it never came out when the main compartment was opened. Again not a problem I can cut it out as my keys will stay in the font pocket. Just highlighting changes that the product page doesn't show. These changes made the revised Mantis 1 just not able to carry all the gear the original design has in the past, resulting in me returning it and ordering a Mantis 2. This way I can have multiple options for separating my gear and phone.
