J'ai acheté cette veste il y a un peu plus de deux ans et j'en suis très content. Aussi bien en randonnée ici en Belgique qu'au ski dans des conditions parfois extrême. Elle est parfaitement étanche et reste très respirante avec les aérations sous les bras si nécessaire. Je la porte aussi bien avec une simple couche en dessous ou avec une doudoune thorium ou cerium qui me permet une isolation et chaleur parfaites. L'entretien est très facile. Top produit que je recommande

Amazing Jacket !!!

This is my most go to hardshell. Amazing protection from elements. If you are in downtown walking , on trails at park , hiking in forest , at alpine , doing bushwacking , skiing or snow shoeing this jacket would protect you from the elements. I have experienced it in the past. This jacket was so expensive, but the quality is there. It is worth every penny when you are in a severe weather scenario, and it literally saved my life.

I'm on my second Alpha SV, and each has lasted nearly 10 years. The construction is top notch, uses best Gore-Tex, and is still made in Canada (yay for workers being paid a living wage, which actually justifies the price.) Warranty and after care is unmatched in the industry!

I’ve had my coat since 2016 and never had an issues with it. Kept up on the little maintenance to keep it water resistant but other than that, this coat is amazing. Has lots of storage pockets, zippers are strong and durable and keeps all the wind and water out. Exactly what every outdoor person needs. Easy enough to be the top layer of almost anything!

It seems like the jacket starts to rip at the seems after a few years I brought my jacket in 2018 and the zipper broke and it ripped under the armpit on the right side, above the left side of the hood, and the drawstring piece came out on the bottom right side of the jacket.

Disappointing reliability.

Worked great for the first 5 years. Than welded seams start separating as well as material material delamination. Product failed in the same way and the same time frame as a similar jacket from MEC which costs 30%-40% of Alpha SV. Customer Service reviewed the failed item (took 6 weeks) and deemed that I should've washed it more often to prevent the failure.?? They offered a 125$ coupon.??? Thank you, Arc'teryx. No more interested in this brand.

So this is actually a fact. If you don’t wash your jacket the oils and dirt can dissolve the seams… looking at your jacket it’s clear that it’s very dirty… looking after your gear is important.

Arc'teryx Jackets are THE best. My previous AR Jacket lasted 10 years! It was finally time to move on, so I went with the SV, mostly because I liked the color options more. But is a phenomenal, sturdy material (though maybe a little loud). It does however run large (this seems to be across the board with Arc'teryx now. I've essentially had to size down every article of clothing from what I had perviously gotten. The new Small SV fits exactly like my old Medium AR.

This jacket is hard shell perfection! I don’t need to go on about how tough this jacket is, as this has been commented on many times. What really impressed me was how light and packable this jacket is for its capabilities! I will not likely use my mid weight hard shell again. As expected, water proofness is a non-issue. Breathability is great. The fabric is very stiff, but not uncomfortable or problematic. This jacket does fit large. I almost always wear a size large in Arcteryx jackets. I could likely have gone for a medium. I swim a little in this jacket unless I have an insulating piece under it. Im 6’2” and 190 lbs. Overall, I love it. Highly recommended! Buy it and love it forever.
