Question 1

Dear Arcteryx, could you compare the differences between the Asset SL and Emaris acket? If I’m looking for something functional for everyday wear, is the Asset a better choice (I might also take it on a light hiking)? width and length in XS I need, please

Luna · Accepted Answer

Hi Petra, thank you for your question. The Asset SL Jacket and Emaris Relaxed Jacket are designed for different uses, so I'm happy to clarify the differences and share three key measurements in size XS.

Asset SL Jacket
Chest Width: 114.3 cm
Waist Width: 112.7 cm
Front Center Length: 59.7 cm

Emaris Relaxed Jacket
Chest Width: 111.0 cm
Waist Width: 107.0 cm
Front Center Length: 53.0 cm

The Asset SL Jacket was built with a 3L ePE GORE-TEX® 15d fabric and designed as a superlight, highly breathable, and fully waterproof shell for everyday city use. It features a low-profile regular fit that allows freedom of movement and layering, along with an internal laminate zip pocket and two die-cut hidden hand pockets with zippers. In contrast, the Emaris Relaxed Jacket was made with a 3L GORE-TEX® ePE Jet Dyed 200d weatherproof fabric and designed as a rugged, relaxed-fit utility shell for rainy hikes. Featuring a helmet-compatible StormHood™, two side pockets, two top-entry flapped pockets, and two chest pockets, offering a wide variety of storage options.

If you are looking for a lightweight jacket, a streamlined jacket for everyday wear around the city, the Asset SL Jacket is a great choice. If durability and storage for hiking are a higher priority, and you'd also like something that works for casual everyday wear, the Emaris Relaxed Jacket may be a better fit. We offer free returns within 30 days of purchase and delivery, so you’re very welcome to order both and return the one that doesn't fit as well. Question 2

I have the Limina jacket which I love and fits me very well. I have it in a size L. How does the sizing of this jacket compare? Should I order the same size or size up/down?

Sophie · Accepted Answer

Hi, thanks for your question! Both the Limina Jacket and the Asset SL Jacket feature a regular fit, but based on the measurements, you may want to consider sizing down to a Medium in the Asset SL for a more comparable fit to your Limina in size Large. For reference, the Limina Jacket in size L has a chest measurement of 119.5 cm, waist of 120.5 cm, and hem of 121.5 cm. The Asset SL Jacket in size L is more generously cut, with a chest of 132.3 cm, waist of 130.7 cm, and hem of 118 cm. In comparison, the Asset SL in size M has a chest of 124.3 cm, waist of 122.7 cm, and hem of 110 cm, closer to the proportions of your Limina. If you're unsure, you're welcome to order both sizes to compare at home and keep the one that fits best. We offer free returns within 30 days of purchase to make that process easier. If you have any further questions about sizing, fit, or measurements, feel free to reach out. We’re happy to help! https://arcteryx.com/ca/en/help/contact
