can it be used as a carry-on if you don’t fully pack it? Since the material looks pretty soft and flexible, I’m wondering if the empty parts can be rolled or compressed to save space and keep the bag within carry-on size limits. Thanks!

While the soft-sided construction allows the bag to compress somewhat when it is not fully packed, the Carrier 75 Duffle is significantly larger than the size typically permitted for carry-on luggage. We recommend checking with your airline directly, as carry-on size allowances can vary between carriers. If you are specifically looking for a travel bag that may be better suited to carry-on use, you may wish to consider the Carrier 40 Duffle, though we still recommend confirming the dimensions against your airline's requirements. Hello Fezz, the Carrier 75 Duffle hasn’t been updated since 2023. If you’re comparing it to the 2014 version, the main difference is the upgraded fabric, it’s now even more durable and offers improved weather protection. Aside from that, the pack still features four carry handles and the same U-shaped opening as before.
