Charging time varies depending on the component and device status.
Lithium-ion battery charging (via USB-C):
- First-time use or after prolonged storage: 24 hours
- Regular charging: Several hours
Supercapacitors internal charging:
- If recently charged and turned on: A few seconds
- If charged, turned off, and stored for several days: Up to 25 minutes
- After airbag deployment: Around 25 minutes

Before boarding any type of transportation (ie. Bus, plane, helicopter), always make sure the LiTRIC™ System is switched OFF and the trigger handle is locked.
No special documents are required to travel with the LiTRIC™ Avalanche Airbag. With a battery power of 7.4 Wh, the LiTRIC™’s lithium-ion battery is subject to the same standard conditions for travel as, for example, a cell phone or other small electronic device. For air traffic passengers, portable electronic devices are allowed if the following criteria are met:
- Nominal capacity is 100Wh or less
- There are no more than 15 devices per person
- The device is for that person’s personal use

Spot clean the LiTRIC™ Avalanche Airbag with water only. Never use detergents or cleaning solutions. Once cleaned, the LiTRIC™ Avalanche Airbag must fully dry at room temperature before its next use. Otherwise, the system could ice up.
Unzip your pack to reveal the electronic blower unit. The 10-digit serial number (e.g., XXXX-XXX-XXX) can be found on top of the electronic blower unit to the left of the ON/OFF button.
Yes, the pack will be covered under the Arc’teryx LiTRIC™ Limited Warranty as long as the pack has not been mistreated, neglected or damaged and used in any way that it was not originally intended to be used for.
The Micon LiTRIC™ Airbag and pack will be covered under warranty for manufacturing and material defects for the duration of 2 years (or 5 with registration) from date of purchase by the original purchaser or 50 inflations, whichever occurs first.
Yes. If there is no proof of purchase, the warranty start date will be calculated as the manufacture date plus 1 year and 6 months. The warranty will last 2 years from the start date (or 5 years if registered).
Yes, you will need to submit a photo of your proof of purchase when submitting a Product Service Request.
Any LiTRIC™ airbag that is misused, neglected or damaged, and used in any way that it was not originally intended to be used for will void the warranty. Some examples include; using the battery to power devices other than the LiTRIC airbag, using the balloon as an aquatic flotation device, etc.
If the airbag is past the warranty period, the warranty coverage will be expired.
For safety reasons, the Micon LiTRIC™ avalanche airbag system must be returned in new, unused condition. Any system that has been deployed or used will not be accepted for a return or refund. Visit our Returns & Refunds page to view our full return policy and initiate your return.
Following a software update, Micon LiTRIC™ packs no longer require Storage Mode. Just ensure the pack is fully charged before placing it in storage.
