When Lucy was 18 months old, her mother, a ski instructor, took her skiing. She has been living the ski bum life ever since. With both parents working at Vail, Lucy had free range to spend most of her time roaming around the slopes of the resort. In grade five, Lucy’s class went on their first hut trip where she got her first taste for free-heel and the backcountry. She excelled at telemark skiing, winning the Grand Targhee Big Mountain Telemark Competition five years in a row. She will always have a special place for telemark skiing in her heart, although now spends most of her time fully connected to her skis, getting big air and ripping every couloir she can find. Lucy's lines are big, but her demeanor is mellow. Lucy loves people and the backcountry, and for these reasons she has found herself in Sun Valley, Idaho where she works as an emergency and post-anesthesia nurse. She finds her work highly rewarding, but still needs to recharge in the mountains with friends. The bigger, the more partners and the steeper the better.
