For mountain runner Jazmine Lowther, van life means freedom—though she does miss baking cookies and tending to her houseplants. For now, home is where the trails take her. Jazmine discovered her ultra aptitude when she entered a local 50km race on minimal training and finished third overall. It sparked her curiosity for what might be possible –an inquiry answered in 2022, when she stunned the ultra-running community by winning the competitive Canyons 100km, capping her debut at the distance with a shiny new course record. Transitioning from biologist to full-time athlete and coach, Jazmine has since stood on podiums in the world’s most competitive ultra races. Beyond racing, she’s dedicated to preserving the natural world, organizing trail clean-ups, and rallying others to make a positive impact. An avid learner, Jaz loves exploring new terrain and cultures, balancing her training with skiing, climbing, and biking. She’s committed to a lifetime of adventure and stewardship in the mountains.
