A well-made bag for urban cyclists and commuters.

I mean, it’s a backpack. Let’s get that out of the way. It won’t change your life.
But it’s a thoughtful backpack. It has the perfect pockets for my usb cables, my charging cable, big notebook, small notebook, a few pens, and then the cave for everything else. I thought I would hate the drawstring closure, but it suits the bag perfectly. Great access, makes the most of the space.
The fabric seems very durable, and while the black colour does get scuffed up easily, it can be wiped clean, and it all the grime builds up a neat patina that goes well with the bag’s brutalist vibe.
The rigid back panel means it’s also easy to throw a high vis cover on it if you’re cycle commuting, no matter how full or empty it is.
It only loses a star because it appears to have two loops to attach a removable waist strap… but doesn’t come with a waist strap, and it’s unclear where to get one.

Awful pack. White spots all over it within days

I contacted customer service like you suggested I. Your generic comment. They refused to do anything about it.
Like I said you refuse to stand behind your products and that’s disgraceful.

Perfect dump bag

I've had this backpack for a few months now and here's what I love about it. It's super minimal, perfect as a commuter bag or everyday bag. There are two laptop/tablet slots and one tubular side pocket in the main compartment. There is a small zipper pocket on the front of the bag for little items. There's a lot of people who would baby this bag because of how sleek it looks, but I abuse the hell out of this bag and it has held up great! The material is very durable. Perfect for day hikes. If you're looking for a simple bag without a ton of frills, I highly recommend this one!

Great size and design

I'm a student and this fits everything I need for a day. I can bring a laptop, and tablet in the sleeves in the back, clothes for the gym, and a lunch. It's also pretty water-proof. I'm really happy with the purchase!

Solid commuting pack

I bike or walk to work and find that this easily fits my laptop (there's an internal padded sleeve), lunch, water bottle, climbing harness and shoes, and gym clothes. I've also used it for a three day work trip and had ample room. Internal zip pockets are great for organization. The slim profile is nice for walking and the material holds up to rain. My one qualm is something others have mentioned: one wear with each of my Atom Hoodies caused a portion of the back of the jackets to pill. I've worn both jackets hard, and this has never happened with another backpack, so I'm pretty bummed, because I love everything else about this pack. I'd recommend this pack to anyone who doesn't wear performance jackets and is just looking for a good commuter pack, but I won't wear mine with my Atom Hoodies.

Not so Granville anymore…

I was really looking forward to getting the new Granville 25 backpack, since my old one was the best and most durable commuting backpack I have ever owned. Unfortunately this new version is a major disappointment. First the positives: It has a front accessible pocket and an internal pocket for holding bottles, Now the negatives: almost all the internal pockets have gone. No pockets under the flap and all the various internal pockets in front of the laptop sleeve have gone too. No wonder there are no press photos of this bag. Furthermore the great corner magnet fastenings have been removed and the hook fastening has been made smaller too. It’s almost as if the designers were told to remove as many of the bag’s best features without changing the external styling to reduce costs but still maintain a premium price. Sadly not the bag it used to be…

Have any light colors marks appeared on the backpack as some reviewers have alluded too?
Also the back mesh, some have said it can ruin some clothing items, particularly soft mid layers?

Favorite work/laptop bag ever

I love this pack. I have had the black one for several years, and it is my go-too work/laptop back. It's very stylish, and have had zero issues with it. Have read some people say the straps are uncomfortable, but I think the intent was for urban use. I get a lot of compliments on it, and it's suitable for executive meetings.
Would highly recommend this for urban use.
