Old was great

Please, bring back old 80g/m² model. I have it for almost 9 years. I love this jacket but main zipper is broken now so I'm looking for a replacement but idk if 65g/m² is enough for me... 80 was my sweet spot for almost a whole year in central Europe.

Nice materials but sizing is off

As usual with Arc’Teryx, materials and construction are second to none. My big gripe however is the sizing. Im 6ft and about 170lbs and all my Arc gear is medium size. This piece is meant to be a non-breathable, warm belay jacket that goes over your mid layers when static in cold conditions. Yet they have cut it about 1-2 inches SHORTER than the Atom Hoody (formerly called the Atom LT) at the front, so the Nuclei doesn’t even cover it properly. Strangely the length is actually ok at the hem, having the same drop as the Atom (so just about acceptable length wise). So yeah, being an inch and a half too short at the front is just a poor design choice that negatively effects the functionality of the product. The medium is also a bit tight across the shoulders and arms when wearing an atom/proton hoody underneath. So if you’re a similar size to me and planning to use it like I do, then I would recommend going a size up. I’ve just ordered the large size so I’ll report back once that arrives.

Light, small , warm

Warmest “puffer” jacket I’ve tried, yes there’s been a few over 30 years on the hill. Windproof, extremely packable and lightweight. Used on climbing and mountaineering trips so far, looking forward to the winter And Rando.

Great Jacket / Very Warm for the weight!

Make in “tall” sizes please! Also, I think if the jacket was slightly more durable it would be worth it, even if it meant a little more weight and less packability.

En utilisation intensive depuis 2 mois. Très légère et compressive . Se range facilement dans un casque ou un fond de sac pour se faire oublier.Apporte une vraie source de chaleur.

Insane warmth

Purchased this jacket three weeks ago. I had bought this jacket simply because of the low weight to high warmth and especially it is a synthetic. I was in the Scottish Highlands attending and the Cateran Yomp so need my pack to be as light as possible. I have the cerium hoody which is amazing, but for wet cold conditions the Nuclei is superior ! This jacket delivered in spades!
