Question 3

Is this suitable for my Therme Down Parka?

Sophie · Accepted Answer

Hi Rob, thanks for your question! Yes, the Nu Down Detergent is suitable for your Therme Down Parka. Since this style combines both GORE-TEX and down insulation, we recommend following the Wash + Dry instructions specifically for down to help maintain its performance and longevity. We’ve included a link to our Product Care page for full details on how to properly wash and dry your gear. We hope this helps. https://arcteryx.com/ca/en/help/product-care/wash-dry-down/

Question 4

For my down jacket, does the NU DOWN also restore the hydrophobic qualities of the down...what do you recommend for cleaning the Cerium Jacket?

River · Accepted Answer

Hello Ovid, for cleaning your Cerium down jacket, we recommend using NU Down detergent, which is specifically formulated for down-filled garments. Not only does it clean effectively without damaging the delicate structure of the down, but it also helps restore the hydrophobic qualities of treated down, meaning it revives the jacket’s ability to repel moisture and maintain loft. Just be sure to follow the care instructions on both the jacket and the detergent label. A gentle wash cycle, followed by tumble drying with dryer balls, will help re-fluff the insulation and ensure your Cerium performs like new. https://arcteryx.com/ca/en/help/product-care/wash-dry-down/

Question 5

Would this product be good for my Macai jacket?

Sophie · Accepted Answer

Question 8

What detergent should I use to clean my Beta Down Gore-Tex jacket?

River · Accepted Answer

Hello there, since the Beta Down Jacket combines both GORE-TEX and Down fabrics, play to the gear’s more sensitive side: Follow the Wash + Dry instructions for Down and use the Nu Down Detergent. Once your garment is clean and dry, test its water repellency by spraying it with a little water to see if the drops slide off the material. If the water drops don't bead on the jacket, reapply DWR (Nu Durable Water Repellent).
