Question 1

Hi Arc'teryx, why is there no long or short version of the new colours???

Rick, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hello there, thank you for your question. At this time, the new Gamma Pant colours are only available in the currently listed inseam options, and we do not offer these colours in short or tall lengths. However, inseam availability can change over time, and additional sizes or colours may be restocked in the future. We recommend checking back periodically for updates to the assortment. We hope this helps.

Question 2

So you guys aren't making the short version of the gamma pant and gamma mx pant anymore, right?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Felix, thanks for reaching out. The Gamma Pant is being produced in regular, short, and tall inseam lengths this season, while the Gamma MX Pant is only being produced in a regular inseam length. We hope this helps!

Question 3

Hi, following up on my previous question. What was the fit and thigh width for size 34 for the gamma and gamma lt pant prior this recent change, 2023 or prior thanks!

River, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hello, thank you for following up. Here are the measurements for the previous versions you asked about:

Gamma Pant (2023) — Fit: regular. Thigh width in size 34: 69.8 cm.
Gamma LT Pant (2022) — Fit: regular. This model used alpha sizing rather than numerical; the thigh width in size M was 67.0 cm.

Question 4

Hi, has the fit for this year's gamma pant been changed. I noticed the pant from the photo looks more of a regular fit. What's the thigh width for size 34 (large) of this year's gamma pant vs last year vs Kragg cotton pant (which I own). Thanks!

Amelie, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hello Jacky, thank you for your question. Based on the specifications we have available, the current Gamma Pant is actually slightly trimmer through the thigh than the Kragg Cotton Pant. For a size 34 Regular, the thigh measurements are: Gamma Pant: 70.1 cm and Kragg Cotton Pant: 73.3 cm. If you're familiar with the Kragg Cotton Pant, you can expect the current Gamma Pant to fit noticeably trimmer through the thigh.

Question 5

Ist der Gürtel der Hose verstellbar, sodass ich den Tallienumfang der 30R Größe von 81cm auf meine 77,5cm spannen kann. Die kleinere 28R wäre mir nämlich zu eng.

Rick, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Question 6

I am looking for a pant just like the gamma except with an added "very light fabric' liner. The outer for sheding and a liner for comfort. What do you recomend?

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for your question. If you're looking for a pant similar to the Gamma Pant but with a more substantial lining for added comfort and warmth, we recommend checking out the Gamma MX Pant. While the Gamma Pant features a warp-knit mesh lining, the Gamma MX Pant uses a warmer polyfleece backing, which offers additional insulation and is more suitable for winter mountain activities. At this time, the Gamma MX Pant is not currently available on our website, as we haven't fully transitioned into our Fall/Winter 2026 season. We recommend signing up for the Arc'teryx newsletter for updates on new product arrivals and launches, or checking with an authorized Arc'teryx retailer for current availability. We hope this helps!

Question 7

Hello, I am interested in purchasing your Gamma pants in 30S color Rune. I noticed all the sizes comes only in "R." Will the Rune be available in the 30S size?

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Jerry, thank you for reaching out. We do not have any immediate plans to release the Rune coloured men's Gamma Pants in short or tall inseam lengths. We apologize for the limitation at this time and recommend signing up for the Arc'teryx newsletter to be among the first to know about product drops, further sizing offerings, and exclusive offers.

Question 8

I walk in the winter golfing on Vancouver Island are they warm & soft on the inside?

River, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hello there, thank you for your question. The Gamma Pant isn’t insulated, so it won’t feel warm or soft on the inside like a fleece‑lined winter pant. It’s a lightweight, durable softshell designed for mobility and weather resistance, offering great comfort for active use, but for cold, damp winter walks on Vancouver Island, you may want to pair it with a light thermal base layer to add warmth and comfort without sacrificing breathability or freedom of movement.

Question 9

I normally wear the women's Gamma pants in size 6R. I want to try the men's version. What would be the right size equivalent for me? Also at what height would you recommend customers switch to ordering the short version?

Nemo · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. We’d recommend trying the men’s Gamma Pant in either a 29R or 30R, as these align most closely with the measurements of your Women’s Gamma Pant 6R. We believe you’ll likely fall between a 29 and 30 based on your body measurements. Here are the measurements for both sizes:

Women’s 6R
Waist 78 cm
Hip 102.5 cm
Thigh 64.7 cm

Men’s 29R
Waist 78.5 cm
Hip 99.5 cm
Thigh 63.1 cm

Men’s 30R
Waist 81 cm
Hip 102 cm
Thigh 64.5 cm

Based on this, size 29R will feel slightly slimmer through the hip and thigh, while 30R will offer a closer match to your current fit. For inseam selection, most guests under 5'6" (168 cm) tend to prefer the Short length for a cleaner line and reduced stacking, while those above that height generally stay with Regular.

Question 10

I have INCENDO, ACROPLE JOGGER, SABREO, KONSEAL light, GAMMA SL, GAMMA Lightweight, LEFROY, PALISADE, KONSEAL, CRESTON AR, GAMMA AR. Are GAMMA pants between the KONSEAL and CRESTON AR or do they duplicate them? Provide the GAMMA waist 28R, inseam length.

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. In terms of fabric weight, the Gamma Pant falls between the Konseal Pant and the Creston AR Pant. The Gamma Pant is made with a 186 gsm Fortius DW 2.0. The Konseal Pant is made with a 126 gsm durable heavyweight stretch nylon, and the Creston AR Pant is made with 220 gsm Abron™, which is 90% nylon, 10% elastane. The Gamma Pant in size 28-R has an inseam length of 82.9 cm. We hope this helps!
