Question 1

I saw this marketed with the new Dark Jade color way but I don’t see that color available when i actually click on the product. Will there be an Atom Jacket in the Dark Jade? Thank you.

Hello Dan, thank you for your question. We are glad to hear that you like the Dark Jade colour. We sometimes preview new colours that are planned for release later in the season before they become available for purchase. While we are unable to confirm future product availability or release timelines, we recommend signing up for our newsletter to stay up to date on new product releases and seasonal colour launches: https://arcteryx.com/us/en/email-signup. Question 2

Will this jacket be to warm in 60 degree temperature High 61 low 50

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for your question. The Atom Jacket features Coreloft™ Compact 60 (60 g/m²) synthetic insulation, which provides breathability and offers lightweight warmth. While we do not assign specific temperature ratings to our garments, the Atom Jacket is generally a great standalone midlayer for temperatures around 50–60°F. Hope this helps!

Question 3

Hi, Is there a specific way to clean stains, not entirely sure what it is but I think it’s oil based, likely coconut oil and shea butter type stuff.

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Andy, thanks for reaching out. For stain removal on the Atom Jacket, we recommend spot cleaning with 1 part Nu Technical Detergent diluted with 3 parts water. For more information on stain removal, please check out our Product Care page here: https://arcteryx.com/ca/en/help/product-care/stain-removal/

Question 4

Hello! Could you please provide measurements of chest and center back for size M and L? Thanks!

Size Medium
Chest Width: 115.8cm
Center Back Length: 72.5cm

Size Large
Chest Width: 123.4cm
Center Back Length: 75cm

We hope this helps!

Question 5

Can this keep me warm or somewhat comfortable in 20 degree (F) weather if layered with a thick baselayer? From Minnesota/Wisconsin

Sophie · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for your question! While warmth is always subjective and depends on factors like activity level, climate, and personal comfort, this piece is lightly insulated with synthetic fill and weighs in at 335g, making it best suited for cooler temperatures and wind. It performs well as a midlayer or worn on its own in milder conditions. In 20°F (-6.7°C) weather, especially in regions like Minnesota or Wisconsin, this jacket may feel too light as an outer layer, even when paired with a thick baselayer, particularly if you're not moving much or if it's windy. In those conditions, it would likely work better as a midlayer beneath a more insulated or weather-resistant shell. We recommend checking out our Layering Guide to help you build the right system for your needs. And if you'd like help finding a warmer outer layer, we’d be happy to assist! https://arcteryx.com/ca/en/shop/layering-guide

Question 6

Is it true that the fit is now less “athletic” than before?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Susan, thanks for reaching out. The Atom Jacket features our fitted fit, which is a trimmer cut designed to stay close to the body through the chest, waist, and hip. Its low-profile design moves with you, eliminates bulk, and layers comfortably under outerwear. The fit remains the same as the previous season’s version. We hope this helps!

Question 7

How does this model compare with the Atom AR jacket?

Sophie · Accepted Answer

Hi Pete, thanks for your question! The main differences between the Atom Jacket and the Atom AR Jacket are weight and fabric. Both are insulated with synthetic Coreloft™ and offer breathability, moisture resistance, and packability. The Atom Jacket is lighter at 335g and PFAS-free, with an FC0 DWR finish and Tyono™ 20 fabric for increased air permeability, ideal for high-output activities. The Atom AR Jacket weighs 425g and uses more wind-resistant Tyono™ 30 fabric, making it a versatile choice for all-around use. We hope this helps!

Question 8

Is the Atom a less warm, more breathable jacket for under a resort hardshell compared to the Allium insulated jacket? I run warm when resort skiing. Do you have any plans to release an Allium insulated jacket this season?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. The Atom Jacket provides more warmth than the Allium Insulated Jacket, as it uses 60 gsm Coreloft™ insulation compared to the Allium’s mix of 40 gsm and 25 gsm Coreloft™ Stretch insulation. The Atom also features stretch fleece side panels that enhance breathability and ventilation, even when layered under a shell. Both are excellent midlayer options, but if you need extra warmth, the Atom might be the better choice. At this time, we do not have information on future releases, so we recommend subscribing to our newsletter to stay updated on upcoming products and collections. We hope this helps!

Question 9

What is the exact weight of the Atom Jacket (not the Hoody) in size L?

River · Accepted Answer

Hello John, thank you for your question! At this time, we only have the weight of the Atom Jacket available in our base size Medium, which is 335 grams.

Question 10

Is the Atom Jacket for men the same as the regular Atom Hoody or the Atom LT Hoody without the hood? I'm looking for Atom LT without a hood for men - is that an option?

River · Accepted Answer

Hello there, the Atom Jacket is exactly what you’re looking for if you want the warmth and performance of the Atom LT, just without the hood. Arc'teryx recently streamlined our naming, so what used to be called the Atom LT Hoody is now just the Atom Hoody, and the Atom Jacket is that same piece, minus the hood. It’s a really popular choice for people who prefer a cleaner neckline or plan to layer it under a shell.
