I really like the coat. It’s perfectly tailored to my size. I usually have trouble wearing coats because I have broad shoulders, but this one fits just right. The length is also perfect. It blocks the wind exactly as it should. Plus, it’s truly a high-quality coat. I highly recommend it.

I really like all the details for the ski in this jacket. Also the cut is great, just long enough and the right amount of room to layer regarding the temperature. The hood fits over the helmet for really windy days. And the colour is sooo nice !

Great purchase. Fits perfectly. Great quality.
I was considering buying size large because it’s a shell jacket so need to allow space to wear layers and potentially insulated jacket bit went for Medium and so glad I did. I usually wear Medium and it’s big enough to wear many layers underneath and goes on the top of insulated snow pants perfectly. I read some reviews that it’s tight on a hip but for me it is perfect. I’m 5.10” and 150 pounds with pear shard body so pretty big bum (42 inches to be precise) and the jacket is pretty loose on my bottom. If you’re short, sleeves might be too long for you although for me sleves were perfect also.

I bought this at REI. This jacket is amazing BUT if you are curvy (Narrow shoulders and wider than average hips and butt) this might not fit very well. It is comically large in my shoulder and chest area but barely zips over my butt. It’s still okay for what it is made for but because of the fit I wouldn’t wear this casually like around town which is kind of a bummer.

swapped the Beta AR for Sentinel Jacket and I'm super happy about it. The jacket stands out for its functionalityand comfort. It's definitely an investment for a serious outdoor enthusiast seeking seeking a jacket for versatile outdoor activities. While the size runs small, and the price is quite steep, it’s comfort and durability during all weather conditions are totally worth it.
The fit of the Sentinel Jacket is much smaller than my previous jackets. Being 160 cm tall and weighing around 60kg I usually wear S-M, but this time I went for XS and it was the right choice. I can even fit a cerium jacket underneath it and still feel comfortable.
The hood and the skirt are excellent for skiing and ski touring as they connect to my sentinel pants.
The only drawback are the color selection, I wish we had more options to choose from, and the inner pocket - I wish it was bigger so I could fit a water container easier.

I bought this jacket 4 years ago and it has held up so well to the wear and tear of backcountry skiing. Nice material, great colours. Is a bit longer in the torso, which I quite like. Would recommend :)

Predominantly wear this piece out when I am splitboarding. It is incredibly durable and keeps me protected from the winds you can experience up in the alpine. I love the pink/red/white colour combo - keeps me stylin'! Easy to layer, and packs well.

No chest pocket is a deal-breaker

This is a nice jacket, well put together and seems comfortable when I tried it on. I have no doubt it would keep out wet snow. But I ended up returning it for a couple of reasons. The biggest one is that there is no external chest pocket. That's where I like to keep my phone and it was a deal-breaker for me. Not sure why this jacket doesn't have that when the Rush has two of them. The second reason was the colors. Liberate is the only color bright enough to be seen in the woods (I want to be visible) and for some reason they put a white section right where the coat will contact a dirty chairlift. Tools not jewels, but I don't want to be skiing for the next several years with a brown butt and lower back.

I’ve been wearing Sentinel jackets for over 5 years for mainly backcountry splitboarding, but will also grab this for inbounds riding with some extra layers. The cut and length and comfortable; no fiddling. It fits just right. The fabric is soft even though it’s technical. I’ve never been able to rip the fabric, even when riding through trees or getting it too close to sharps. I’m usually a M or L in Arc’Teryx jackets and size up to a L in this because I have wider hips and like a little baggier look.

This jacket is perfect for skiing and adventures! I love it!
I am 5’7, slim build, and I usually wear S for Arc’teryx, but for this jacket I found it excessively roomy even for layering. XS was perfect though, not too baggy but with comfortable space to layer up.
The zippers are a little annoying.. the zippers on the Nita jacket is way smoother but this jacket was better over all.

This jacket was an investment and the quality is so good that I think I’ll be using it for years. It is true to size and I like that it’s long enough in the sleeves and covers my bum. I like that it has features for skiing but is a shell so that I can layer depending on the temperature. It’s great that it has a powder skirt. The hood is great for over a helmet on windy days riding the chairlift or ripping skins on a peak.

I love how the sentinel jacket fits! Sized up to have a « looser » fit, this jacket kept me dry all the time and protected me from chilly winds on glacier. Pitzips are also a must when touring! Also very durable

I like it. Super pretty and I do find the size rather run slightly large for arcteryx. Initially I bought medium jacket and R6 pants but had to returning them for a small jacket and S6 pants. I'm 5ft 4 at 129 lbs(but lots muscles).

I've had this jacket for a couple years and it has everything I want in a snowboarding jacket. Super comfy, moves with me and layers well. Keeps me nice and dry and looks good to boot. I love the seamless paneling and length, plus the hood fits over a helmet. Beautiful color and it always looks new. The fit is loose to accommodate layers without being comically baggy.

A very ski specific jacket !

This jacket as been following my adventure for more than 5 years now. It is very great for skiing. The snow never comes inside because of its length. I love the under pit arms and hoods fits very well with an helmet on! I have been wearing it at the resort as much as in the backcountry and both activity have been great for this jacket.
Cons: Since it is very ski specific, I find it a bit bulky to bring ice climbing or in my hiking trip in the summer. It is not ideal to wear it with a harness, it is kind of difficult to adjust everything (gear, harness, jacket, bibs etc.) so it fits nice and confortable. For hiking trip, it is a very long jacket so your butt is cover but you have carry this extra length of jacket.

I really want to love this jacket. It’s clearly good quality and I love the colour options. Which is rare for women’s outdoor gear. I want to be an arcteryx girlie this winter, but sadly it is just not the fit for me. I am 5’2, petit and curvy and it was boxy in the shoulders and tight on the booty. It’s very frustrating that this body type is not represented in the outdoors and majority of gear for my body type is extremely hard to find. I hope one day arc makes a line of clothing that can help out us curvy shorties. We like to ski too. We like to the outdoors too!

If you only had 1 jacket...

I use this jacket on the majority of days. I primarily hike, but also love wearing this at the resort as you can layer up or down depending on weather. A shell with a soft liner, great to throw on for the decent while touring, or add a puffy to make it warmer! I chose the lighter colorway knowing that it would be my spring skiing touring kit. While it does get a bit dirty, I love washing my gear to keep it looking great and with a little extra effort I kept this kit clean all year. Love the fit with the pants too.

J’aime tout de ce manteau!

J’ai acheté ce manteau il y a 2 ans et j’adore pour le splitboard! Il est épais alors il coupe le vent au sommet mais respire bien pour la montée. L’ajustement des manches permet de mettre les mitaines en dessous du manteau facilement. Les manches permettent l’amplitude de mouvement lors de la montée comme pour la descente. J’espère qu’il y aura de nouvelles couleurs cette année dans ce modèle (pas isolé).

Durable, breathable 80D 3L ePE GORE-TEX seals out the elements and has a warm backer for soft comfort. The progressive design and ergonomic patterning remove restriction, WaterTight pit zips ventilate, and the helmet-compatible StormHood adjusts for full coverage and exceptional visibility. What's been updated: Updated with a new durable, lightweight GORE-TEX ePE fabric that offers a reduced carbon footprint and has an 80D face fabric for enhanced durability without added weight.
This product is free of intentionally added PFAS.
The new ePE membrane technology is lighter and thinner, but just as strong and durable as the materials we used before. You may notice the face fabric “wetting out” slightly faster in products with ePE membranes, but rest assured this does not affect the waterproofing of the membrane itself. If you notice the fabric wetting out faster than you’d like, simply wash the jacket and dry it to remove the oil contamination and bring the DWR back to its full power.
