Lots of warmth not weight
This is a great layer , loads of warmth without loads of weight . This color is so pretty too. I wish the zipper was easier to use but that's a minor detail when you consider everything else . Thanks for another great piece Arc'teryx !

A $500 disappointment
I know this material is paper thin to pack down well but, given that it's $500 and Arcteryx's reputation for durable, quality technical gear, I had thought it would be good for a while. How wrong I was!!!
I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my mother, who only got a couple of months light wear around town with it before a rip developed. No accidents, no snags. And it's not covered by their warranty, so I just spent $500 only to be able to keep my mom warm for a couple of months. If you are misled like I was about it being good for alpine activities, then think again... Apparently a midlayer means you can't wear it as a standalone at all. Maybe it was my fault for not reading the reviews more carefully... but man is this super disappointing. I've had puffy midlayers like this that cost a fraction of the price that have lasted me waaaay longer with much more aggressive use. Definitely do not recommend.

Customer Service
Hello there, thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we’re truly sorry to hear about the disappointment with your Cerium Hoody. While this piece is made as a technical midlayer, optimized for lightweight warmth and packability, it’s absolutely understandable to expect durability as part of the Arc'teryx standard. Rips from light wear are not what we intend, and we regret that the item didn’t meet expectations, especially since it was a gift meant to last. Your feedback is invaluable and will be shared with our product team for review.

Lightweight Warmth
Didn't expect to love this jacket as much as I do - I have found myself reaching for it nearly every day this Spring here in Chicago. It is SO lightweight and breathable while doing a great job of regulating body temperature. My only complaint is that it feels a bit tight when worn over larger sweaters/sweatshirts.

Solid piece of insulation
The Cerium is a great piece of insulation in my outdoor kit. It packs down quite small and is lightweight enough to be tossed in my backpack. It’s joined me on many hikes, and has kept me warm on all of them.

Teure Materialien unnütz eingesetzt. Schade.

Zipper broke right away

The zipper broke after the 3rd time wearing. The zipper is also tiny, making it difficult to open/close with gloves on. Other than that it seems to be a good jacket.
