Insulation is not the best

Not the best insulation. I live in north of England and even during peak summer the temperature doesn’t go beyond 22-23 degree C. I still felt cold despite wearing 2 layers underneath. Looks fine and feels fine.

Love the material!

Love this jacket. The infinium is soft to touch and quiet enough to wear inside without the noises of some Goretex material. It’s waterproof enough for my purposes. I was in moderate rain for 45 minutes and the rain completely beaded off without any leaks/absorption. Windproofing is also great! Smooth lining on the inside is nice. Good breathability. This has been my go-to for the past several weeks. I like that it can pull off an urban look but also hold up well on the trail.

Solano = Solid

I find myself reaching for this hoody jacket in a variety of conditions! Whether it’s for a hike, traveling, the office, or around town. I wanted something versatile (like my atom SL hoody) and the Solano fits the bill. I took it to Hawaii and the waterproofing was pretty solid with mid to light rain and kept me warm on super windy days outside. I do wish this hoody offered pit zips but the breathability is still good. The fit is also top notch, you can layer a little bit, but nothing crazy. My atom SL hoody and now the Solano hoody are the two hoodies/jackets I reach for consistently. Btw if you’re looking for something to use for skiing, snow, etc. obviously look at other jackets (surprisingly saw someone complain how this didn’t work for that and it didn’t sound like they were just trying to layer it). Also, love the pocket it has on the inside under the logo!

A great lightweight jacket, however, this one arrived with 2 stains on the sleeve so I returned it. I have 2 other Solano jackets which are great.

They said that solano is not as useful as beta jacket or gamma mx hoodie, but it's really a great jacket for the style and function and so far the best looking single item. S is perfect for a women's size who's like me 5'2.

Schnitt viel zu weit ("Wingsuit")

Auf der Suche nach einer Softshelljacke für den Alltag und sportliche Aktivitäten von Frühling bis Herbst stieß ich auf die Solano Hoody. Meine Standardgrößen sind L und XL, je nach Schnitt und Einsatzzweck. Ich entschied mich hier für die Größe L, da ich bei einer Beta Jacke in dieser Größe und dem Regular-Schnitt gute Erfahrungen gemacht habe. Doch die Anprobe der Solano enttäuschte. Ihr Schnitt war viel zu weit. Mit ausgebreiteten Armen erinnert mich dieser an einen Wingsuit. Daraufhin maß ich die Brustweite: 126 cm, das würde in der Arcteryx Tabelle für Jacken und Hemden der Größe XXL entsprechen! Sogar XL hat nur eine Weite von 118 cm. Die Größe L wird mit 110 cm angegeben. Positiv fand ich die Anmutung des leichten Fleece im Bereich des Rumpfes. Leider Rückgabe.
