Light weight!!

Great top I use it for working out and flying, keeps the direct sun off my skin. it’s lightweight enough to breathe and not get too warm. great for UV protection!! I like a bit of a baggy fit I’m 5’9” and 200lbs I went with a XL and it is loose enough to move around and not tight. The design is great like all Arcteryx!!

Sun Protection!

Took this top hot for a hot sunny hike into the alpine! Amazing protection against the sun! Not so good against the mosquitoes!! Overall very happy with the top. Echoing the other comments, would love to see this in brighter colours!

Best lightweight hoody

These tops are just so comfortable and practical in many different situations. The fabric is soft and is good at wicking in a slight breeze. They dry quickly and don't seem to stain when using a tech wash. The hood is on the big side but can cover your face in full sun. With the hood down it turns into a soft comfortable collar. I've been wearing it in the heatwaves this year and has given me good sun and midge protection. Arc do this in some bright colours and muted ones and I have several. Would like to see it made in the Ray colour. The length is just right because I'm tall and it's difficult to find tops long enough. The sleeves are plenty long enough and have useful thumb holes when stretching out or just wanting to keep warm.

I love big days in the alpine, but have paid the sunburn toll a few too many times. When I know I will be out in serious UV, this is my trusted top. From spring ski mountaineering to summer scrambling, the Cormac is versatile and can act as a base layer to mid depending on the user and temps. A few examples:
1. Summer trail run. Acts as a base layer (no shirt under) that I can wear all day at low to moderate output.
2. Spring ski mountaineering. Layer with a merino shirt under and a puffy / shell on top as needed.
The only tweak I would make on this piece is to make it a bit more breathable, but that is personal preference. For most temps and most output levels, it is perfect to keep you protected from the sun.

what's with all the dark shades??

Why so dark? Let's have some lighter colours please!
Love the feel of the material, however it's still quite a boxy/fitted cut, around the pecks and shoulders - which unfortunately for me means the large is just a tad too small and the XL is way too big - such is life, can't win em all!
