Great jacket just wish it was longer.

Generally a really nice shell. I appreciate that fabric is comfortable on bare skin, the jacket allows me to move freely and is super waterproof. It would be better if it was an inch or two longer. Unless whatever I am wearing under the jacket is tucked in I get a wet ring around the bottom.

Perfect jacket!

My last Beta AR lasted me 14 years and served me very well, through all 4 seasons. My philosophy with my gear is “tools, not jewels”, and I while I took care of it, it was used for its intended purpose. Overall, it held up very well! My new one is an upgrade in every sense of the word. Better material, better construction, and an improved fit. Pit zippers are longer, pockets are bigger and better placed, and zippers are of a higher quality. While I miss my old one, I’m looking forward to it being an integral part of my adventures!

Love this jacket

I've had it for a year now. At the start it felt a bit weird when I put it on, probably, because it was my first Gore-Tex jacket, but then I got used to it. Always keeps me dry. The hood is very adjustable, I like it a lot. It's breathable indeed, but not the most breathable in the world, but I do think that it is as breathable as possible for a Gore-Tex PRO jacket given the current Gore-Tex technologies. After some laundries the factory DWR still works perfectly, I've never applied it additionally since the purchase. It's true to size for me, use the sizing guide, I find it pretty accurate and helpful. I have it in S and it has enough room for me to add layers and is not too boxy (however, it is a bit) when I don't put many layers on. I'm approximatively 173 cm in height.

I have an Alpha SV medium and it was a bit tight the Beta AR large is in between the Alpha SV medium and large.

Très déçu, après 5 mois d’utilisation ( en tant que veste quotidienne ) j’aperçois des petites déchirures au niveau de l’intérieur, de plus, l’imperméabilité n’est pas correcte. Je suis très déçu

Not the best quality

For a jacket at this price point, one would expect much better quality. A year into wearing this jacket has revealed a bunch of small rips in the fabric. Also had some components in the hood come apart (lamination issue was Arcteryx's assessment). I've only worn this jack on rainy days every now, so I'm assuming this "wear and tear" is the result of just leaning against walls, sitting down and other non-extreme everyday activities. Arcteryx repaired the hood at no cost, but deemed that those rips were just normal wear and tear. Would not repurchase again as it seems very fragile of a jacket and not very durable as opposed to how they're advertising it.
