Guide

Once a dreadlocked, van dwelling, dedicated skier and climber, this esteemed International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations mountain guide is now a part of the hard-working team currently running the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides. As an examiner, instructor and technical director of the ACMG, Marc knows the power of humility and has the courage to unlearn and challenge old beliefs in an effort to evolve the guiding craft continually. As a father, Marc treasures every minute of his daughter growing up, like her first ‘ski run’ with plastic skis and winter boots, right outside of the lodge where her mother guides in the Bugaboos. Marc is motivated by adventure, which does not mean epic moments - but rather the process of having a destination and an element of commitment. This could be anything from putting up new routes near his home in Canmore to teaching guides courses for the Russian Mountain Guides Association in the Caucasus.
