New coat has folds in if from packing.  Will dryer 0n low remove them…or any other ideas

These folds relax on their own after a short period of regular wear and movement. That said, you are welcome to put your jacket in the dryer on a tumble dry low setting to help dissipate the folds. The Ralle Insulated Jacket uses Coreloft™ synthetic insulation, which is breathable and continues to insulate even when wet, making it well-suited for everyday wear and variable conditions. The Ralle Down Parka combines 750-fill power European goose down with Coreloft™ synthetic insulation for added warmth, making it better suited for colder environments and more static use. How does this compare in warmth to the Atom SV? what do you recommend as the best jacket for everyday use  that is both warm and a bit water resistant? Would it be this, the Atom SV, or another option?

Hi there, great question! The Atom SV is designed as a versatile insulated midlayer that excels in cold conditions during active pursuits, but also functions very well for everyday wear. It uses Coreloft™ 120 synthetic insulation (120 g/m²), which provides substantial warmth while remaining breathable and lightweight. Its outer fabric has a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish, so it can shed light moisture, but it is not fully waterproof. The Ralle Insulated Jacket, on the other hand, is built for everyday wear in harsh winter conditions where weather protection is a priority. It features an 80d 2-Layer GORE-TEX shell, making it fully waterproof and windproof, and uses Coreloft™ 80 insulation (80 g/m²) for warmth. While its insulation is lighter than the Atom SV, the GORE-TEX construction adds significant protection against rain, snow, and wind. In terms of warmth, the Atom SV is more densely insulated than the Ralle, so it may feel warmer in dry conditions. However, we don’t assign specific warmth ratings because warmth depends on factors like activity level, layering, and personal comfort. If waterproof protection and weather resistance are most important for you, the Ralle Insulated Jacket is the better choice. If you want more insulation with some moisture resistance for active use, the Atom SV Hoody is an excellent option.
