Arc’teryx men’s footwear is designed for outdoor athletes to perform at moments of critical need and high consequence in the mountains and alpine. With different options designed for running, climbing, and hiking, mountain and outdoor footwear for men needs to provide varying degrees of traction, grip, stability, and support depending on the activity. Many options have waterproof technology which can improve comfort in most conditions, but might not be desired for high-exertion activities like running in dry conditions and hot temperatures. Compared with women’s outdoor footwear, men’s outdoor footwear tends to be slightly wider at equivalent sizes (e.g. a US M8 will be wider than a US W9, which is the same length).

WATERPROOF SHOES

Hiking footwear styles and some running and climbing styles are available with GORE-TEX® waterproof technology for added protection against water and the elements. GORE-TEX® is the only waterproof, windproof, breathable material effective and durable enough to meet our standards. It is comfortable for both summer and winter temperatures, but is not always necessary or preferred, especially in warmer weather or for higher-exertion activities.

HIKING SHOES FOR MEN

Arc’teryx men’s hiking shoes and boots are built for day treks and multi-day backpacking trips. They feature GORE-TEX® waterproof technology, Vibram® Megagrip outsoles for grip on rocks and balanced lugs for traction on dirt and mud, and shock-absorbing cushion to reduce fatigue and offer stability on uneven terrain without being too soft. Some models feature a mid-length collar for added ankle support while others have a low collar for fast, light, and nimble hiking.

APPROACH SHOES FOR MEN

Arc’teryx men’s approach shoes offer premium grip for approaches, steep hikes, and scrambling on rocks and rocky terrain, as well as lightweight comfort for all-day mountain travel. Designed with climbing and approach/hiking versatility in mind, they feature technologies like GORE-TEX® for waterproofing, Vibram® outsoles for grip on steep, rocky surfaces, and shanks and toe caps for added protection, while some offer added comfort for recovery while resting or belaying between climbs.

RUNNING SHOES FOR MEN

Arc’teryx men’s trail and mountain running shoes are lightweight and designed for moving long distances quickly and efficiently over varied, challenging terrain. Their key technologies include Vibram® Megagrip outsoles for grip on rocks, lugs for traction on dirt and mud, locked-in fits for all-day support, plus cushion and geometries that maximize propulsion, stability, and fatigue resistance for races, training runs, FKTs, and ultramarathons. Different models are designed to specialize in fast running, varied runs on mixed terrain, and runs on steep, technical alpine terrain. Some styles are offered with GORE-TEX® waterproof technology.
