Question 1

Will this be offered in another color? My gear does double duty and is used when I'm not out in my professional role.
Also, an additional model that isn't a 5'11" guy would be helpful, as the measurements provided are a bit ambiguous.

River · Accepted Answer

Hello Elizabeth, thank you for reaching out. At the moment, we don’t have visibility on future colour availability for the Nozone PRO 40 Pack. The best way to stay updated is to check our website regularly, as any new colours or restocks will appear there as soon as they’re released. If you’re finding the sizing or fit details a bit unclear, please feel free to connect with our Guest Services team. We’d be happy to provide additional information on the pack’s measurements, fit, and how it might work for your needs both professionally and outdoors.

Question 2

Any chance this pack could get a slight redesign to have an exterior Avi pocket? I was about to order one until a read the notes below.

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. We understand how useful an external pocket can be for quick access and organization on the Nozone PRO 40 Pack, and we will pass this feedback along to our team for future consideration. We hope this helps!

Question 3

Is this new SAR pack designed to be waterproof? If not, why?

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Yogi, thank you for reaching out. The materials used in the Nozone PRO 40 Pack do offer a degree of water resistance, but the pack as a whole is not designed to be fully waterproof. The primary fabrics (315d Cordura® nylon 6,6 with Vectran® reinforcement, N400r-AC² nylon ripstop, and the 210d nylon lining) are all durable, tightly woven nylons that naturally shed light moisture and snow. The top lid also features taped seams, which helps improve weather resistance in that specific area. However, because the pack includes multiple access points, the overall construction is not sealed to waterproof standards. This is intentional—making a pack fully waterproof requires sealing every seam and limiting openings, which would make the design much slower to access, which is not ideal for SAR teams who need to get to their gear instantly and reconfigure tools on the fly. In real use, the pack handles snow, light rain, and splash contact well, but for very heavy rain or very wet conditions, we recommend using drybags or waterproof stuff sacks for sensitive gear to be safe.

Question 4

What are the recommended torso lengths for each of the sizes? Is the harness itself adjustable to fine tune to torso length?

Luna · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for your question and for checking out the Nozone PRO 40 Pack! This pack is designed for SAR team members, first responders, and guides working in demanding environments. It comes in two sizes: the Short, with a center back length of 56.5 cm, and the Regular, with a center back length of 60.5 cm. The shoulder straps and hip belt are fixed and do not adjust for torso length beyond the size you choose. If you’re between sizes, we offer free returns within 30 days of purchase and delivery, so you can order both sizes and return the one that doesn't fit as well. You can find return details here: https://arcteryx.com/us/en/help/returns. We hope this helps!

Question 5

Does it have a dedicated pocket for avy safety gear (shovel, probe, saw)?

Tony · Accepted Answer

I just received the pack, unless you have very small avy gear it will not fit in the pocket on the front, I couldnt even get a probe in it... It has a very big zip that means you can access the main body of the pack from outside, but no real functional avy pocket.
