Question 1

Will a standard Voile tele pro shovel blade (38 x 25 cm) fit inside the tool compartment and be easily accessible from the side zip? Additionally, how well would a Mammut 320cm probe and Tindeq saw (both are 45cm collapsed) fit?

Blake · Accepted Answer

Hello Zach, and thank you for your question. Based on the dimensions you've provided, a standard Voile Tele Pro shovel blade (38 × 25 cm) should fit within the avalanche tool compartment and be accessible through the side zip. The compartment runs nearly the full length of the pack and is wide enough to accommodate a shovel blade of that size, though as with any avalanche pack, avoiding overpacking will help ensure quick and easy access to your safety equipment. For the Mammut 320 cm probe and Tindeq saw, the avalanche tool compartment includes separate sleeves designed to organize essential rescue equipment, with one sleeve for a shovel blade and another for a probe. At 45 cm collapsed, both items should fit comfortably within the compartment while remaining organized and accessible.

Question 2

What is the loose Velcro band for? It was in the google pocket

Luna · Accepted Answer

Hi John, thank you for your question. A loose Velcro band is typically included for cable management. It helps keep the charging cable neat and organized inside the pocket. If you’d like us to confirm that the piece you found is the correct accessory, we’d be happy to take a look. Question 3

Hola, se puede usar con pilas triple AAA? Cuanto cuesta hacer la revisión en europa y cuanto tiempo cuesta revisarla?

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Question 4

Is 42l the usable capacity or do I need to take into consideration the volume of the airbag system?

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for your question! That is correct, the 42L is the usable capacity. That is, the pack can fit 42L worth of volume in addition to the built-in airbag system. We hope this helps.

Question 5

How can it be used for skiing uphill? The back of the bag rises above one’s shoulders and therefore one cannot look upwards while wearing a helmet and the bag at the same time. This means I can neither bootpack, ski up steep slopes, belay nor rappel.

Seymour · Accepted Answer

Hi Serena, thanks for reaching out. The Micon LiTRIC™ 42 Avalanche Airbag is designed for multiday missions on the mountain. When properly fitted, it should allow for head movement while wearing a helmet. If the pack is rising above your shoulders and restricting your ability to look up, this typically points to a fit mismatch. We recommend reviewing the size chart with your body measurements, as the SRT option may provide a better fit. We hope this helps!

Question 6

Will you restock the orange?

River · Accepted Answer

Hello Maxwell, at this time, we do not have an exact return date for the Micon LiTRIC™ 42 Avalanche Airbag in the Phenom colourway, but our stock will fluctuate as we move through the seasons. We recommend using our "Notify Me" feature. You can select the colour and the size you are interested in, enter your email address, and we will email you once it is back in stock.

Question 7

Waht is the battery expect life time? I mean once the battery is dead can it be replaced with a new one? How much would it cost? Thank you

Sophie · Accepted Answer

Hello, great question! The LiTRIC Avalanche Airbag system is designed to last for up to 50 deployments or 10 years from the date of manufacture, depending on the usage. We also have a mandatory inspection after 50 deployments or 5 years to certify its suitability for further deployments. Once the battery reaches the end of its life, it might be possible to replace it, although it all depends on the state of the avalanche airbag system, the pack itself, and more. If you are having any issues with the LiTRIC backpack, contact us through a Product Service Request form. Please note that the warranty doesn't cover the battery or charging cable, and any defects due to improper handling or regular wear and tear are not covered either. For replacement costs, we recommend checking with the manufacturer or authorized retailers for specific pricing. Please reach out if you have any questions. https://arcteryx.com/ca/en/help/product-service/service-request https://arcteryx.com/ca/en/help/contact

Question 9

Am I missing something, is the only way to reach the avalanche tool pocket via a side zip?

River · Accepted Answer

Hello Reido, the avalanche tool pocket can be accessed in two ways: through the side zipper or by opening the main compartment zipper.

Question 10

Are these airbag packs sold out for the season, or will you be restocking over the winter?

River · Accepted Answer

Hello there! While we don’t have an exact date for when the Micon LiTRIC™ Avalanche Airbag will be restocked, inventory may fluctuate throughout the winter season. We recommend using our “Notify Me” feature, simply select the model you're interested in, enter your email address, and you’ll receive an email once it’s available again.
