Amelie, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hello Sheri, thank you for your interest in the Cerium SV Men's Jacket. While we do not have an exact return date for the Cerium SV jacket in black, stock will fluctuate as we move through the seasons. We recommend using the “Notify Me” feature, subscribing to the Arc'teryx newsletter for up-to-date information on products, or looking to authorized Arc’teryx retailers for any additional item availability. We hope it helps!

Question 2

My hoody arrived without stuff bag, is normal?

River, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hello there, the Cerium SV Hoody does include a stuff sack, and it’s often tucked away in one of the pockets, either internal or external, so it can be easy to miss at first. We recommend checking each pocket thoroughly to make sure it isn’t hidden inside. If you still can’t locate it, please connect with our Guest Services team through our Contact Us form so we can help you out. https://arcteryx.com/ca/en/help/contact

Question 3

Which hardshell would you recommend on top of this to be water proof? Over a Cerium SV size Large.

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Jeff, thank you for reaching out. The Cerium SV Hoody Men's is designed as a standalone outerlayer for severe cold conditions. It is not designed to be layered underneath an outer hardshell. If you’re looking for a down-insulated jacket to wear beneath a waterproof shell, we recommend the Cerium Hoody (non-SV version). It’s lighter, more streamlined, and works perfectly as a midlayer while still delivering excellent warmth-to-weight performance.

Question 4

Est-elle imperméable ?

River, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Question 7

Till which minus temperature will this jacket be good?

Seymour · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. The Cerium SV Hoody is designed to be used in severe conditions and can definitely be used in sub-zero temperatures. That said, we do not rate our garments for temperature as there are too many factors that influence this result from person to person. The key to staying warm will be proper layering. We recommend referring to our layering guide for more tips on staying warm: https://arcteryx.com/ca/en/shop/layering-guide/

Question 8

Wanted to pick warmer stand alone jacket, is cerium sv better than ralle down jacket?

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Paul, thank you for your question! Both the Cerium SV Hoody and the Ralle Down Parka are designed as standalone pieces that deliver exceptional warmth, but they serve slightly different purposes. The Cerium SV Hoody uses 1000-fill grey goose down, which offers an outstanding warmth-to-weight ratio and is ideal for alpine environments where lightweight performance matters. In contrast, the Ralle Down Parka uses 750-fill grey goose down, combined with a GORE-TEX shell for waterproof protection. It's longer and heavier build provides more coverage and weather protection, making it great for urban or cold-weather everyday use. While the Cerium SV has a higher fill power (meaning more warmth per gram), the Ralle contains more total down and offers extended coverage. This makes direct warmth comparisons tricky because factors like activity level, layering, and personal comfort all play a role. For this reason, we do not rate our garments based on warmth. If you’re looking for maximum warmth with minimal weight for mountain environments, the Cerium SV is a strong choice. If you prefer full weather protection and coverage for everyday winter conditions, the Ralle Down Parka may be the better option. Please note that the Ralle Down Parka Men's has been moved to our outlet website for a discounted price: https://outlet.arcteryx.com/ca/en/shop/mens/ralle-down-parka-9156. We hope this helps you pick the right jacket!

Question 10

I tried the Atom hoody in size M, however I felt uncomfortable with the sleeves riding high into my armpits. I chose the size L and felt like a dream and I wear it almost daily during colder months. Recommended size for Cerium SV?

Helio · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for your question and for sharing your experience with the Atom Hoody. The Atom Hoody has a fitted fit, designed to sit closer to the body for warmth and easy layering. On the other hand, the Cerium SV Hoody is intended as a standalone piece and features a regular fit, which will feel roomier than the Atom. For reference:

Atom Hoody (Large): Chest 123.4 cm, Hem 118.1 cm, Center Front Length 62.5 cm, Center Back Length 75 cm, Sleeve 95 cm

Cerium SV Hoody (Large): Chest 131.6 cm, Hem 125.6 cm, Center Front Length 66 cm, Center Back Length 80.5 cm, Sleeve 95 cm

Cerium Hoody (Medium): Chest 124 cm, Hem 118 cm, Center Front Length 63.5 cm, Center Back Length 78 cm, Sleeve 92.5 cm

We hope this helps!
