What a shame, this revision is actually enough to make me not want to be a customer of Arcteryx, at all. At some point these companies need to own up to their shameful cost-cutting, and admit their wrongdoing. This vest is literally nothing like the previous iterations, and the material literally is as this as paper. It's actually shameful, and if you read the other reviews, it's obvious to anybody that owned the previous versions. I happened to bring this up in the store, and they told me "well feedback from customers was the vest was too heavy" hahahaha, who said that anywhere- this is literally one of their best selling products, which had phenomenal reviews--- why lie to customers on top of cost cutting? C'mon now, and on top of it, they used to make a "lightweight" version of this vest, which solved for anybody wanted a lighter version(which they decided to stop making). Instead their corporate offices feed them this line to tell people, when in face the vest is inferior in every way possible. Not fleece sides, no inside pocket, so fleece lining at neck, and material is literally so thin that it just looks mostly wrinkled at all time. It's not just some small changes, it's a completely different vest that feels like it should cost $50 now, not $200. All I can hope is people see this review, and steer far away from this vest and Arc'teryx in general as a company. Very shameful moves to save money here, and ruin one of their best products.
