175cm, 80kg, 107cm chest, slim waist (31"), athletic build, Norwegian. Been using L in several Arcteryx tops/jackets previously. This vest was wayy too large in L. Would probably accomodate a 112-115cm chest (incl. baselayer and thin/moderate midlayer), and a 34-35" waist. Don't know why sizes get bigger, maybe to target a different audience - not the typical outdoor/mountain people anymore...
Got the M size, which was the right size for me including baselayer+midlayer. Front zipper is tiny and simple, so be really careful with it. Neither the front zipper or the hem-adjusters can be operated with gloves. Lightweight, packable vest. Feels a bit thinner/less substantial than it looks in the pictures. Decent warmth for its weight.

Best Vest

Ive tried almost every vest out there, this my favorite. The fit is trim, no slack in the back. Every vest, even those that claim to be trim fitting, have a ton of slack in the back. I will never be fat, so I have never bought one until now. Other reviewers have complained about the shoulders being higher and they are but this also provides the range of motion I need that I could not find in other vests. It is very warm, especially for its weight, I cannot wear it in temps above 60 American without overheating. The updated zipper is solid but not as good as the proton or atom. The collar provides a lot of warmth to the entire neck, fits great, and folds down perfectly when not needed. Pockets are oversized and comfortable and the entire things compresses down smaller than a softball. The eden color is a little darker than the website, I think it is stunning.

I take this vest when traveling light but want a backstop and layer of warmth. Not just in winter but on bike rides or climbs too. Perfect to throw on to keep the core warm but not reduce any movement. It's packable and light, yet has amazing warmth.

Ultra packable and essential warm piece

This is a piece which is essential in my Backpack, it is ultra light and packable and perfect for wearing on top of all layers for summit waits, colder than expected days and also for dinner in the evening.
I like the look and the fit, and the best part is definitely the little bag that comes with it in the chest pocket, so you can always pack it away and it's super tiny.
A piece that I was wearing all winter!

I read other reviews about the fitting of the sleeve holes and while I can see what they were talking about, I didn't think it was unusual looking at all. I'm 5'6" 150 lbs and went with size small. I think it fits quite well. I am very pleased with the purchase.

Great jacket, less than great zip

Bought this last week. Main body of gilet is very warm (rate 4 / 5) but, at this price point, I'd expect Artteryx to have a decent, long-lasting metal zip (and one that unzips at bottom) rather than the cheap one it has currently. Changing that would be a quick win with a big gain in CX for minimal investment!

Warmer than expected

My loyal Atom SL vest has been fantastic but is not quite as warm as I need for the northern Rockies, so I was super thrilled to add the new Cerium vest to my lineup. I've been pretty surprised by the versatility offered by this small but mighty vest. I use it as a quick warmth layer when transitioning on a skintrack, and even ski down with it (be careful in the trees - this thin outer fabric is not designed to take branch and rock scrapes). I have also used it as part of my layering system while resort skiing, and am currently taking it down to Mexico's Pico de Orizaba as a companion to my Nuclei, hoping the combo will be as warm as and more versatile than a traditional belay puffy. The packed size is incredible, about the size of a coffee mug, and the down reboots to max puff instantly.
One notable feature of the fit is the fairly wide shoulders. This works for my wider-shouldered athletic build and keeps the pack straps off my base layer, but could be wider than some might prefer.

I really wanted to love this vest, perfect fit, great materials and craftsmanship, warm and light! BUT someone along the development line wanted to have me being a moving billboard with logos front and back! Vest is going back and I am going away from the brand, at least until you realise more than 1 logo is a way to repel intelligent customers.

Shoulder fit problem

Down fill perfect, material perfect.
Shoulder fit and material: poor due to not fit at all, different fit with two exact the same pieces. Good that there is the use of other isolation material but not suitable for shoulder fit. You can see it with the yellow one on the model where you see ‘air’ between shoulder and downvest.
Not a good thing for a down vest from like 280€…

Nice light great fit

Nice light weight and fits great! I've tried many down vests and most of them a L was too small and XL was too large. This fits great with no gaps. I'd say trip fit for athletic body type not skinny. I was not sold on vests till I tried this one. An improvement would be an interior pocket but the large outside pockets are great.

Great vest but fit of the shoulders is weird

Purchased the Cerium vest on BF sale. The materials, build, features and overall fit is good and the vest is very warm. The only negative is the fit of the shoulders, they look exaggerated i.e. they stick out. I purchased black color in M but also tried an S in store and the fit on the shoulders is very similar, the exception is the S was too tight around the waist so I stuck with M. It seems like you need really broad shoulders or big arms for the shoulders to fit properly but then this should not be labelled as a trim fit piece. All my other Arc gear is M trim and they all fit really well. Having said that, all the pros still make this is a worthy item to keep.

Exact the same here. 178cm, 70kg and shoulder sticks out and not fitted fit. Loose. Large too large…
But a good piece of down vest, so kept it…..
(I took the risk of getting cold wind inside above shoulders due to lack of fit…)
There should be really a look at this problem!

Expédition Rapide. Emballage impeccable. Bravo pour la logistique ! Produit de grande qualité aux finitions parfaites … Comme toujours chez Arc’Teryx. Découpes techniques, tissus de grande qualité, seules les cordelettes sur les fermetures font un peu Cheap !!! Mais c’est rapide à remplacer … Un excellent produit et une marque qui a toute ma confiance depuis longtemps.

Fits baggy around the lower back

I ordered online, size M. My stats: chest 102cm. waist 82cm. I will return it because it generally has a weird fit arund the lower back, quite baggy. While supposedly the vest is fitted. I own the thorium jacket, trino jacket, which both fit excellent. Even though Thorium is described as regular fit, its much better, and I still can layer below.

Poser la main dessus et sentir cette chaleur instantanée, c'est assez bluffant.
Achat mûrement réfléchi. Produit léger, chaud, qui va m'aider à passer les hivers lorsque je travaille en extérieur.
S'il y avait un point à améliorer ce serait la fermeture éclair qui est parfois un peu difficile à désenclancher lorsque le zip est entièrement ouvert.
Bravo pour la livraison, envoyée d'Allemagne vers Paris et réceptionnée le lendemain de la commande.

Too small!

I've been wearing Arc'teryx for years. Lots and lots - Alpha SV (two), Beta AR, Beta LT, Atom LT vests (two), Gammas, Coverts, Deltas, etc etc. And a size Medium is perfect. Always perfect.
Tried on a L Cerium vest in the Piccadilly London store when I was passing. Too big, so ordered a Cerium vest Medium from Arc'teryx online, expecting it to be as perfect as all the other products I've had for years.
Well, it's v tight everywhere. And a Large was too big everywhere.
What has Arc'teryx done to its sizing? I can wear the Cerium vest over, say, a Delta thin fleece, but if I add another layer the vest is very tight indeed. Switch to an Atom LT vest size M and the Atom is perfect over one, two or even three layers, as it should be.
For once, disappointed in an Arc'teryx product.

Fits DIfferenty than Cerium Jacket

I purchased this vest in size small as that was the size I purchased with my cerium jacket. I am shocked at how slim the vest fits and how it is not possible to layer under in comparison to the jacket which laying is possible with a size small.
Very disappointed how the exact same naming of vest and jacket fit differently. Makes it tough to determine which size should be purchased.
Purchase a size up if you want to wear anything at all underneath the vest other than a tight fitting shirt.
