Beta SL Jacket Women's

This is one of my collection that I recently used 2 weeks ago to my Everest base camp trekking adventure. I used this on the lower elevation part of the trekking. I was satisfied of the performance, breathability, the light weight features, the gore Tex features was amazing, it kept me dry and enough warmth until the 3900 meters elevation. It offered a nice fit and comfortability with layering system.it’s thinner than the other shells, I still find it durable.

I am so dissappointed with this jacket. I am cycling from Ecuador to Alaska and this was my first choice that I really hoped will keep me dry in wet conditions. After 1 month and maybe 10 days of rain the jacket started leaking. Let me explain and no it is not from sweat. And no, DWR can not be gone in 10 days! The jacket has a huge leakage specially on both sleeves only after 20min of rain, outside was 10 degrees, I was on a bike and I only had 1 merino thin layer long sleeves under this jacket. My sleeves were completely wet. I made a video and explaned the situation to Arcteryx and I do a lot of cycling and hiking and I have to say I have never in my life witness such a terrible customer support. The jacket is 4 months old from the date of purchase so is clearly in warrant. The customer service responded that I need to pay for shipping and send them the jacket to US to their repair center so they can check it out. I was in the middle of Colombia in rainy season. I mean seriously? The price of the jacket was 500eur in Europe. I went back and forth with the customer service through email for a month until I got sick. Bottom line, if you are on a long journey or expeditiom don't buy anything from this brand because they might have been in the past a really quality outdoor brand but now they are fashion brand with crazy high prices and bad quality products. When you will have problem with their product and be in some other country than US or Europe they will really not be helpful. Such a dissappointment!
