Hello, I bought 2 Proton LT in the fall of 2019 and have worn them to this day with great pleasure and gratitude. Mainly when skiing/ski touring, hiking and also simply in everyday life when it gets colder. I love this jacket! Yesterday I saw a black version in a sports store and I wanted to buy it straight away! So I tried it on and was immediately disappointed. It has a much wider cut and somehow it didn't fit me at all. I wear a size M in all your products, but this new model feels like a L. Why have you changed the cut of such a great jacket so much? I think that's a shame!

Got this in Heritage and love the color. Fits perfect as a midlayer, not too loose or snug. Very comfortable. Sleeves work fine for me. Not as warm as down when standing still, but very good while active. Very pleased with purchase.

I used to hike in an Atom until I discovered how much more breathable the Proton jacket is. I often struggle getting too hot, even in cooler conditions as I'm a very sweaty person. I hike in this for most winter hikes and don't find myself overheating. It's also incredibly packable and I love the colour too. I have one in navy blue and bright yellow too.

HORRIBLE FIT

Arcteryx has completely abandoned its quality control measures. I have over 10 pcs (atom, proton, beta lt, beta ar, atom vest, cerium jacket, fleece sweaters, etc.. and ALL of them are in size M (I'm 5'11, 170lbs). My sister (who lives in the US) bought this for me since she knows I wear size M and sent it over as a present so I can't even return it. This thing fits horrendously, it's like wearing a big garbage bag, the sleeves are unrealistically long and wide, the torso is huge (like a plus-sized jacket) while the neck, hoodie and back length are the same. the old proton used to have a more sleek fit which was easy to layer under the shells but i can't imagine layering this one under any shell comfortably. The old proton fitted like a proper, fitted mid layer but this fits like an oversized parka. I've been reading a lot of reviews about Arcteryx messing up their fits on most jackets and witnessed it firsthand today, will be avoiding their new collections and "revised" fits from now on. it's sad to see such a good brand that I love go down the drain.

Great fit, lightweight warmth.

I received this as a gift from a client of mine, and I am very happy with how it’s lasted me for the past 2 years. It’s survived New England (Massachusetts) weather pretty well, and does great in the snow and rain. I took away one star because I would have liked to have pockets on the inside of the jacket, but the fit is great (5’10”, 180lbs, L). It’s light and keeps me warm. Minus one star since the DWR has basically worn off, and isn’t what it used to be, so it looks soggy when wet. Pairs well with an Arc’teryx gaiter! Especially with the matching color and logo.
