I purchased the Beta Jacket last year and wore it fewer than five times before noticing some strange stain spots. Concerned, I took it to an Arc'teryx professional cleaning service, but after cleaning, the stains became even worse, spreading to areas like the hat and neck part. I brought the issue to the store, where the sales associate suggested it might be due to water leakage caused by a material defect. I submitted multiple claims, but the process was frustrating—sometimes receiving no response, and other times going back and forth with no resolution. Now, after six months, I have stopped wearing the jacket altogether. Most disappointing was my last attempt—I sent the jacket to the repair team, expecting a voucher or replacement. Instead, they sent it back in the same condition with no resolution. There seems to be no quality control or effective customer service. My family, friends, and I have been loyal Arc'teryx fans for years, purchasing numerous products. However, this experience has made us seriously question the brand’s quality and service. Very disappointed!

Ich kann diese Jacke nicht weiterempfehlen. Trotz Einhaltung der Waschanleitung bilden sich falten. Der Stoff sieht „gebrochen“ aus. Die Falten lassen sich nicht entfernen. Es sieht nicht nur unschön aus, ich habe starke Zweifel, dass die Jacke lange hält. Mit anderen Jacken habe ich nicht dieses Problem gehabt.

Bought the new Beta jacket recently after reading some mixed reviews. Heard about wetting out and not being of previous standards. I gave it its maiden outing during a skiing trip to Kaprun in Austria and was blown away by its simple brilliance. It stood up to Alpine blizzards and a day of torrential downpours without any issues. Excellent quality and value for money 👌

The product is average, the goretex isn’t really great but if your wearing it for daily it would be a decent jacket. Overall it’s a great jacket for day to day but due to mine having poor goretex I’m disappointed.

Burn like damage all over the shell after 1 use. I went snowboarding and I did not know that this jacket wasn’t intended for that activity. The jacket is great and still functional but I just got it and it looks so worn and used after 1 time wearing it. I was going to buy a ski jacket but was recommended the beta instead. The bloor street location also made me feel like I was dumb for taking this “durable” jacket snowboarding, saying that it obviously isn’t meant for snowboarding and is just a “light rain” jacket. Just disappointing given all the stories of how long these jackets last and how excited I was for years to finally get one. Just keep your expectation low…

Coat is well maid, it would be nice to have a bigger inside pocket however that's not that big of a deal

It’s a pretty cool jacket, however I’m 5’10 and ordered a large jacket. It’s a little baggy on me but that’s ok! I would suggest looking up size measurements before making the same mistake.

The Beta Jacket does not disappoint! After doing some research, I decided this would be my first Arcteryx and I have already ordered two more ( Thorium / Atom Heavyweight). The only issue was the lack of local retailers to get an accurate size before purchasing which would have saved the hassle of having to return and order again.

The Beta jacket is good. I use it for hiking and urban use. It performs well against rain, wind and snow. I usually pair the Beta jacket with an Atom hoody, or just a fleece base layer, if it's above freezing. Unfortunately, the DWR wears off too quickly, and requires more reapplying/reactivating. Also, the inner zippered pocket is too small to fit my wallet or phone.

Perfekter Schutz gegen wiedrigste Einflüsse wie Regen, Schnee und Wind. Material sehr widerstandsfähig und doch angenehm zu tragen. Taschen gut erreichbar.

The new ePE fabric is terrible, it’s not close to how water resistant old models are and in addition the water does not beed off at all, it’s just like a normal goretex jacket and not worth anything close to 400€. Not to mention this is the first time I’ve had it on in proper rain since buying so it can’t be that the waterproof layer is worn off

I see this is the ‘revised’ jacket. My review is the pre revised version, although I’m not sure what is revised. Unfortunately, my jacket leaked, quite badly after 9 months. It was great throughout the winter remaining completely waterproof. Unfortunately, at the start of the following autumn I noticed that I was getting wet. Through the upper back and shoulders. I am quite shocked as I only used it for playground duties in a secondary school and the odd low level mountain walk. It was never worn with a rucksack and there would have been very little exterior wear to it. For me the performance was below the Craghopper jacket I bought to replace it. Far too much money goes onto the brand name rather than the actual product. 2 stars as the fit was good and the hood worked well.

Attention: Buyer Beware! Purchased Men's Arc'teryx Beta Jacket (no liner) for husband as his Road Runner Sports Gore-Tex with Liner jacket finally wore out after 16 years. Purchased online September 2024. We live in Utah, inclimate mountain weather. He wore it for first time 2024 November 30–40-degree weather. Arc'teryx jacket is advertised on Arc'teryx site as: "it delivers lasting waterproof, windproof, breathable protection." The jacket is not breathable, nor does it keep you warm or breathe when sweating after running for 30-plus minutes. Also, the right sleeve cuff is smaller than right cuff, cutting off blood in right wrist and hand. Contacted the company we purchased it from, they directed us to contact Arc'teryx directly for returns. We contacted Arc'teryx. Arc'teryx will not warranty the jacket because it's been worn. We went back and forth, Arc'teryx sent links telling us to read the Arc'teryx's website jacket description which is as quoted above. We spent time researching Arc'teryx jackets due it being an investment. Long story "short," Arc'teryx will not replace the jacket. We're out $400.00! Arc'teryx suggested two lower priced jackets however, would not swap one in return for Beta jacket. Warning: do not purchase this jacket unless it is warranted by company its' purchased from. It is a very cheap jacket, ridiculously priced. Never will purchase an Arc'teryx product. Buyer Beware!

It’s very nice ,the materials get improved, comfortable for the city walk

Perfecto acabado. Mido 182cm y 82kg de peso. Talla XL. Me queda algo holgada pero mejor para poder meter capas debajo si problema.

But the color is different than on the photos - I have bought "black sapphire" and based on the photos I would expect darker colour, more like graphite, but for me it's just "deep blue".

No worries about getting soaked in the rain during rainy hikes. My Beta jacket is lightweight and very comfortable to use.

Bought this jacket before a skort trip to Montreal. Great weather coverage and was a prefect layer. Very happy with the purchase.

It’s limited edition , so fashion ! I use it for traveling

I owned a Zeta SL jacket before and I was very happy with it as an all destination pack light companion. Since I lost it in one of my trips (left onboard of an aircraft an never found) I try to get the Zeta SL again but it wasn’t available anymore so I decided to get the Beta and it works well in most of the situations that I use it .mostly long walks on norther European windy and rainy weather I found a perfect fitting for me with the L size I’m 6 feet. If something it will be nice to be slightly longer for perfection.
