Hello there, thanks for your question! The best insulated jacket to layer under the Field Jacket really depends on the level of warmth you’re looking for and the type of activity you’ll be doing. Since the Field Jacket already includes a StowHood, we recommend choosing an insulated hoodless midlayer to keep the system streamlined. For active use or moderate warmth, the Atom Jacket (no hood) is a great option, thanks to its breathable synthetic insulation. If you want something more casual, for lower‑output conditions, the Covert Cardigan can also pair well without adding bulk. Ultimately, selecting the right piece comes down to how warm you run and the environments you expect to be in. What type of material is the insulation?

Hi there, thank you for your question. The Field Jacket is not an insulated jacket and does not contain any synthetic or down insulation. It's a waterproof GORE-TEX shell designed to provide weather protection while allowing you to layer underneath as needed. The current Field Jacket uses 3L GORE-TEX PRO ePE with a recycled nylon face fabric and grid backer. To add warmth, we recommend pairing the Field Jacket with an insulated midlayer.

We are not able to recommend a specific size based on height and weight alone, so we suggest referring to our sizing chart and comparing your full body measurements. If you fall between sizes, choosing the larger size will allow for a slightly looser fit and easier layering, while the smaller size will feel trimmer. We hope this helps!

Hi, great question! The Field Jacket is constructed using a fabric blend labeled as 75x150d. In this case, both 75-denier and 150-denier nylon fibers are woven together throughout the fabric. Hello there, to fold your Field Jacket while preserving the shape of the neck area, start by fully zipping it up and laying it flat on a clean surface. Fold the sleeves inward across the chest, keeping them aligned. Then, fold the jacket in half vertically by bringing the bottom hem up to the shoulders, ensuring the collar and neck area remain structured.
