Question 1

Are these shoes good if you have metalsalargia.? Can you use a orthotic?

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for your question. The Kopec GTX has a roomy toe box and a cushioned, supportive midsole. The insole is lightly glued in place and can be removed and replaced with your own orthotic if needed. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee whether this shoe will help with specific medical conditions such as metatarsalgia, as comfort and support needs can vary from person to person. If anyone has firsthand experience using the Kopec GTX with metatarsalgia or orthotics, please feel free to share.

Question 2

What s the heel to toe drop on these shoes?

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hello there! The Kopec GTX shoe has a heel-to-toe drop of 8mm.

Question 3

Do these shoes have a lower back- heel?

Luna · Accepted Answer

Hi Alli, thank you for your question! The Kopec GTX shoe features a lower-cut heel and collar, which helps provide a more comfortable fit around the back of the ankle. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out. We’re always happy to help. We hope this helps!

Question 4

Can these shoes be tied once and become a slip on shoe?

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Nita, thanks for your question! The Kopec GTX shoes can be slipped on without untying or loosening the laces. However, they are not designed to be worn as slip-on shoes. Regularly forcing your foot in this way may put additional stress on the shoe's heel.

Question 5

Does the Kopec have a removable inner sole?

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Anita, thank you for your question. The insoles in the Kopec GTX Shoes are lightly glued in place, but they can be removed. We hope this helps!

Question 6

How do I clean these shoes? First wear and they are stained.

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. For the Kopec GTX Shoe, we recommend surface cleaning only. Use a soft brush or cloth with lukewarm water to gently remove dirt and stains. For more stubborn marks, a small amount of mild detergent can be used. Allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from direct heat, and avoid machine washing or drying. We hope this helps!

Question 7

Wie reinige ich den Schuh? Nur mit klarem Wasser? Muss der Schuh eingesprüht werden mit goretexmembranespray?

Sophie · Accepted Answer

Hi Marie, thanks for reaching out. The sizing displayed depends on which regional website you’re shopping from. For example, if you’re browsing our Canadian or US site, the shoes are listed in US sizes. If you’re shopping on the United Kingdom site, the sizes will appear in UK sizing. We hope this helps!

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Sylvie, thanks for reaching out. The Kopec GTX Shoe is designed for both day hikes and multiday treks, so it’s great to hear you're preparing for another long walk. The extended U-throat construction offers added flexibility and helps improve breathability and overall comfort over long distances. The upper is made from highly durable CORDURA® mesh, which is lightweight, breathable, and quick-drying, helping manage moisture during extended use. We hope this helps!

Question 10

Would these shoes be considered to have a wide toe box ? I need to wear correct toes toe spacers . Thank y

Sophie · Accepted Answer

Hi Kim, thanks for reaching out! While all of our footwear comes in a standard D width and isn’t specifically designed for wide feet, the Kopec GTX Shoe does offer a more generous fit, particularly in the toe box, providing extra room compared to our other models. We suggest trying in-store or ordering online to make sure your toe spacers fit comfortably. We offer free returns within 30 days should you need to try multiple sizes!
