Tim’s connection to the mountains began almost three decades ago, and from the moment he arrived, he knew he had found his place. With a passion for skiing and climbing, he can be found exploring the hills on most days—whether seeking out fresh snow, new routes, or simply just enjoying the beauty of the Canadian Rockies.
Based in Canmore, Alberta, Tim is the Director of Operations at Yamnuska Mountain Adventures, where his years spent guiding on rock, ice, alpine terrain, and ski touring inform the decisions he makes in his current role at Yamnuska. His time in the field helps to shape the programs built for Yamnuska, the support offered to the guide team, and the systems that keep Yamnuska moving efficiently through the ever-shifting rhythms of mountain environments. His leadership and technical insight play a key part in supporting the high standards of risk management, professionalism, and program quality that Yamnuska is known for.
Tim still spends time in the field, but much of his impact now comes from the structures he builds around others: mentorship for new guides, improved operational frameworks, and program design that reflects the realities of modern mountain travel. His approach is steady, practical, and rooted in a genuine commitment to the guiding community.
