Atom连帽衣 女装

So I had an Atom LT in the early 2000's, which is long gone now, and an Atom AR for the past 4-5 years. They were both fantastic aside from the zipper on the LT as it aged and the shallower pockets compared to other brands. Both faded a bit with usage and the AR got a good snag or two that I had sewed up. I decided it was time to replace my current AR since the Alpenglow colour caught my eye. My thoughts for the current version are that the sizing is better for more layering underneath, the zip pockets are a bit better sized/deeper and the hood is a bit larger for helmets. However, I am disappointed with the chosen insulation thickness for the base model Atom. The AR is/was infinitely warmer. Even the LT, on which this seems to be based since it has the side panels, was warmer. My arms have been cold and it feels very thin. It really needs more loft. I thought they changed the insulation because the old stuff would pack down over the years and this newer insulation would maintain itself, but the salesperson told me that's not why they changed it. It seems less breathable - does anyone else concur? My husband has an SL and the revised Atom seems like a compromise between the former LT and SL. Compared to my The North Face Ventrix (3 or 4 years old), it is definitely leaner on the insulation, and heavier on the price point. I haven't worn it enough to put it through its paces. haven't done anything high output to truly test the breathability. I haven't yet worn it on a blowing snow day or in rain. I am anticipating it will be a valuable piece in my arsenal through spring-summer-fall, just not in winter.

I bought the jacket today on ski holidays, so I can‘t say anything about how warm/ isolating it is, but I can say I love the fabric, the color and the fit ( ok sleeves could definitely be a bit longer, but as I bought the jacket 1 size larger than I usually wear, also the length of the sleeves go better for me) I am quite tall with 1.75 and have quite an athletic body and wanted the fit not too right. I can‘t wait wearing it tomorrow on the slopes as a baselayer and in spring on the golf course!

The atom jacket is my go to jacket on colder days when I am engaging in outdoor activites such as hiking or running. It goes great as a midlayer under a shell jacket when snowboarding and always is able to keep me warm. It is definitely such a great staple.

Finally, a better fit again. The fit reminds me more of the Atom jackets from 6 to 8 years ago—more room in the shoulders and underarms. Very happy with this change. I do not know how the jacket wil hold up but I like that the dwr coating is pfas free. I do think the insulation seems tinner than 8 years ago.

I have a 2008 Atom Heavyweight jacket with no hood that I’ve been wanting to replace this year with a version with a hood. My prior version feels slightly warmer and more water repellent, meaning that I don’t need to wear a shell over it as often, and I can wear it most of the winter in BC. Please make it warmer and a bit more water repellent like it used to be. Also consider offering a warm long version.
