Love the hat - beware of thread coming loose

Purchased Habitat/Light White color way as well as Light Velvet Sand/Black Sapphire. I’ve used both equally amounts of times and take care of them as well. I only wear them around the city and absolutely love the design, I’ve received a lot of compliments on that toques. However, for some reason the Habitat color way toque is already falling apart, nothing too serious but this is only after 2 months of use! I really expected more from these toques and they’re very soft and comfortable. But still, it’s hard to overlook the facts that it’s already unraveling more and more each month. I’d like to say this is a fluke since it has only happened with one and not the other but just be advised before you purchase.

Terrible quality

Very bad quality at this price point. Using recycled material may lead to loose threads but having this level of quality compromise is just hurting the upcycling community. Even as a hype piece, it won't hold the shape and look after a few wears

Trendy design, soft and comfortable

Hopped on the trend wagon with this toque and not disappointed. I got the orca colour and the black and white is subtle in colour but the design with the grotto is where it’s at. It is so soft too and isn’t too tight while wearing. I like that it can be worn cuffed or rolled a few times depending on your style.

Really comfortable, best colors. I have a slightly larger head so I appreciate the stretchiness. Fits in all Arc'teryx hoods comfortably.

Great Design, Horrible Construction.

I am a fan of Arcteryx and the products that they make but this product is unacceptable. I received mine 4 days ago and it came with multiple hang threads that needed to be trimmed. after 4 days of wear, the material has started to pill. I hope to see these issues addressed in next year's iteration of this toque because I think the design is outstanding.

Good design / Poor quality

Purchased it Online here, the colorway is cool and the sort of broken Bird-logo is very nice. But after a couple of around town-walks, on the backside (next to neck) started pilling and loosing the nice and tight-shape had at the beginning. Also the brim became loose and has to be often adjusted. Being owner of several Arcteryx items of magnificient Quality, this beanie is not worthed the price - €45 when I bought. I would have expected a better product from Arcteryx.

Quality below Arc’teryx standards

I made a lot of Arc’teryx store employees happy when I returned this hard-to-find hat (purchased in the gorgeous Velvet Sand color.) Despite the prior reviews stating quality wasn’t great, I wanted to see for myself. Sadly they were right. I wanted to keep this but couldn’t justify a $50 beanie when my $12 ones also looked cool in other ways, didn’t have any stray yarns, and also kept me warm. I hope next year’s version addresses this quality issue.

Great hat in a great colourway

I already had an older Arc’teryx toque, but I couldn’t pass up this colourway. Warm and high quality, no complaints. Looks as good in person as it does in the photos.

Quality has gone downhill

Long time fan of the Grotto Toque. Sadly they have consistently gone downhill in quality over the last 3 years. The ones that I've purchased this year had many loose threads right out of the bag. The fit and thickness of the toque has also changed significantly. What once was a well-fitting and robust hat is now an cheap feeling, poorly sized hype piece. Consider waiting till next season for this one.

Looks good, feels cheap.

This looks good as is expected but after wearing it once I'm doubting the durability. The weave feels very weak and there are already the beginning signs of loose threads and piling, especially in the areas where the colours meet. I have a really small head so this problem must be much more severe for people with large heads. It just feels incredibly cheap which is very disappointing when compared to that of my other Arc'teryx products

Very disappointed on quality control

Aesthetically, I LOVE this beanie. However, the quality is terrible for what you pay for. My toque has a lot of loose threads, it piles after a 2 wears and the fabric quality doesn't live up to the name of Arc'teryx. :(
