Sleeves are too long. I have a Fussion Sv with me for 6-7 Years. I love the cuff of my Fussion. Macai is flagship of the arcteryx, it should have better cuff desgin.

top quality, but the sleeves are bit too long. maybe my arms are too short :)

I have used this only a couple of times, fits perfect and very warm. High quality material and construction. Only 3 stars because the outside chest pocket is too small for a phone and the inside chest pocket zip is too small to grab with gloves on.

The Macai Jacket is comfortable, well made and warm. It has one downfall, the zippers. The zippers are not designed very well to use with a gloved hand. The front zip is not too bad, but the pocket and pit zips require to remove my gloves or ask a friend to assist by holding the end of the zipper while it is opened or closed.

I've now owned this jacket for about a month, it's the warmest most comfortable jacket I've ever worn bar none! Very light, ideal skiing jacket for cold weather.

I have used this coat for walking my dog in the cold & wet. I have health issues that prevent my body from keeping warm. This coat has been brilliant, expensive but worth the money.

Bought this jacket 3 years ago. Size M. It is very comfortable and warm. I used it to ski in temps -10oC or 14oF. It kept me warm. Has good system to allow moisture removal. Also very nice for just casual use in the winter. Would definitely recommend.

Standing on the waterfront in Delta, BC Canada, heavy rain and high winds warm and toasty in this fantastic jacket. Could not recommend this jacket more. Absolutely perfect.

After one season of resort skiing the jacket tore on a simple fall. For the price this coat should last more than a year. Definitely avoid this coat. Was going to buy the Macai pants this season but given the poor quality of this coat I won’t be buy any Arc’teryx products.

Bought this jacket 2 seasons ago. Have skied 45 days or so since purchase. Mostly advanced, expert terrain. I'm 6'4", 220 lbs, XL helmet. Pros: 1. Very warm. I only add another down layer if temp < -10 F. 2. Long sleeve and body. No gaps between sleeve and gloves. Powder skirt sits appropriately low on waist. 3. Good style 4. Despite some of the negative reviews, the jacket has been durable thus far. No tears or broken zippers. 5. Good, deep exterior hand pockets. Cons: 1. If the hood is pulled over an XL helmet (again XL sized jacket), it is very difficult to zip the jacket over my chin and face. If I do manage to zip it up, the neck/chin area is very tight and it's tough to turn my head. Even without a helmet, the neck/chin area is too tight. Many other reviewers have commented on this issue, so Arcteryx needs to address it. In my opinion, the neck need another 1 to 1.5 inches of circumference. 2. The jacket would benefit from an external chest pocket that can accommodate a cellphone. There is a weird little pocket under the left upper chest flap, but really useless. Great for lip balm but nothing more.

Die Jacke ist qualitativ wirklich unangefochten. Einzig der Sitz der Jacke ist für mich (188cm, 95 kg) nicht ganz optimal. An der Hüfte bzw. am unteren Saum sitzt die Jacke ziemlich eng. Allerdings konnte ich diesen Fakt ja bereits in der Größentabelle sehen, daher kein Kritikpunkt. Die Kritik anderer User, die Ärmel seien zu lang, kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Ja - die Ärmel sind natürlich länger als bei anderen Jacken, aber es handelt sich hier ja auch um eine Skijacke, das heißt, es müssen Skihandschuhe darunter passen. Insgesamt wirklich eine ganz tolle Jacke. Der Kundensupport hat mich auch sehr überzeugt, da ich nach dem Kauf ein paar Fragen hatte. Einziges Manko ist finde ich die schlechte Verfügbarkeit in Geschäften in Berlin und Umgebung. Ich konnte die Jacke in keinem der Geschäfte, die Arc’teryx-Produkte verkaufen, finden und anprobieren.

Sizing was a bit abnormal. I am 5'9", 170 lbs and purchased a medium. The sleeves were about 2" too long and the jacket was snug in the shoulders and neck. Due to this, I was unable to remedy by sizing up or down. Quality itself was good.

Put the jacket on this morning , -18 degree Celsius with -22 km hour winds -28. While biking I was warm and couldn’t even feel the wind. The Macai passed the Alberta test!!! Love it .

Got this as a warm coat for cold winter days. Ordered from the online store; received promptly and in good order. It's XL size so fit is roomy but good if wearing a mid layer like a sweater . My sleeve length is 35" so sleeves are a bit long but I can live with it. L would probably have been too small.

Very disappointed this jacket doesn't come in size xs!? Small is too big for my son...

This jacket is a complete luxury for the outdoor recreator, or simply someone who is living in a very cold environment. I hate to layer clothing, the Macai allows me to wear only a jacket for temperatures down to 15°. While this is an expensive purchase it is worth every penny, by far the best jacket I’ve ever worn. I use it for all my walking, hikes, and skiing. I am constantly outside, and this is the best piece of outdoor clothing I own regardless of the season. Just incredible to have such a warm, well insulated, jacket that is also rain resistant and waterproof, INCREDIBLE! I have been in some very bad weather, and this jacket performs exceptionally well. I love this jacket so much and confident it will last for years based on the quality of the manufacturer and how it has already stood up. Difficult to spend so much money on a jacket but if you are an outdoorsman don't think twice as this is a true investment that pays back dividends..

This is my 2nd Macai Jacket one for daily wear during a cold winter the other I leave at the cabin for layering. Jacket is extremely warm and versatile. Perfect for skiing or snowboarding.

Love this jacket, but wish they made it in ALL BLACK!

was a little concerned after reading some reviews about fit and durability. I’m 5’11 around 200. Fairly athletic build and fit really well. Prob not a ton of room for layering but that was the point of buying an insulated jacket so I didn’t have too. Sleeves were the appropriate length and the waist was fairly snug. As a heavier guy bigger sizes tend to be bigger in the waist so you end up looking like a bell but that wasn’t the case. The fabric appeared thick enough and no issues so far. One thing I would say and not that it was an issue but the timelapse color was more of a sea green or teal vs as blue as it looked in the pics. Not an issue but worth noting it has more of a blue green color.

Worth every penny, superior to any other Jacket I've owned. I have tested it in several temperatures and activities works like a charm. Great Product!

Purchased for a week snowboard trip to Stowe, VT. Bullet proof snow and cold armor. Everyday while snowboarding saw temps from 0 to - 30 F and never once did I feel cold or did the snow become an issue permeating the jacket.

Firstly, I had an old arc’teryx Macai jacket it lasted more than 8 years and fit great. This new jacket is nothing like the old one, it is inferior in every way. It fits poorly, especially too tight around the neck so you can’t fully zip it up. And its absolute junk the Zipper pull ripped off with no way to fix it in less than a year. DO NOT BUY. For $1000 this jacket is a complete waste of money

The most luxurious winter jacket I’ve ever seen, much less put on. Super soft exterior and the interior is to die for. Love the classy look. Since it’s not even close to being cold enough to evaluate it’s potential here in Tennessee right now, I may have to go over to a friends restaurant and spend a couple hours in his walk-in freezer. 99.9% chance I’m gonna love it. A shout out to my friend Miles and the rest of the Customer Service Team for helping me with a couple problems earlier this Spring. A company is only as good as the people it has working for it, and great products must have a support staff that keep the customers coming back. Job very well done, Miles. Have been a loyal customer for 13 years now. VERY impressed with the new Timelapse-MACAI, and the Company.

It’s a gift for my husband,he likes it so much!He said he will be love outdoor sport in this coat.

First, like most Arc'teryx products, this jacket is really great looking, very warm, and fits incredibly well for my body (I am 5'6", 145 pounds). HOWEVER, I bought this jacket for resort skiing, so wasn't expecting crazy backcountry kind of durability, but on my first day wearing it I took what I would call a "normal" fall (no rocks, sticks, sharp ice, etc) and the jacket ripped. Similar to what some other reviews here have stated, would expect this to at least be able to withstand a typical fall. I threw some repair tape over it so can continue to use it, but very disappointed overall and cannot recommend given durability issues.

I received my jacket ~4-5 months ago and was so excited! I went skiing this year and fell on a hill. I didn't hit a tree, hit a rock, etc. just your average hill with snow. When I looked down I noticed the jacket had ripped. I was stunned. I've fallen tons of times and never had a jacket rip. To make matters worse, this jacket on their website is many times mentioned as a great ski jacket yet a simple fall after 3 days of skiing is apparently enough to rip through it. I then contacted customer service about this rip and sent it in to them. They said it was unfixable and could at most give me 40% off a new one(which they then went to 50%). I can't fathom paying another $500 (after I already paid full price for the initial) for a jacket that would just rip on any typical fall. Basically, if you are an actual skier and plan to use this and you occasionally fall, there is a high percentage chance it will rip. I fell twice in total. Once it ripped, once it didn't. If you want this jacket for fashion, then sure it'll keep you warm, but if you actually want to use this jacket for sport, I would not recommend this jacket to anyone who skis. The fact that they then couldn't cover this rip at all with the warranty and would only offer a small 40-50% shows that in the event you also fall and it rips, they won't give much sympathy and are more concerned with marketing how much of a great ski jacket this is instead of actually following through with there statements. Most disappointing purchase I have ever made for skiing.
