Question 1

Any plans on making a briefcase variant?

River, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hello there, at this time, we don’t have plans we can share regarding a briefcase variant of the Anodic Backpack. Our product line continues to evolve based on guest feedback and design priorities, so while we can’t confirm whether a briefcase‑style option will be introduced, we recommend keeping an eye on future releases for any new additions that might fit what you’re looking for.

Question 2

How water resistant are the zippers? Do you recommend parking the double zipper in certain location for better water resistance?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. The Anodic Backpack is designed to be water-resistant, including its zippers, and is designed to help protect your gear from light to moderate rain in wet conditions. For the best protection from rain, ensuring the zippers are fully closed and positioning the zipper pulls along the side or bottom of the pack can help minimize the potential for water getting into the pack. We hope this helps!

Question 3

How do you keep the straps from flopping around? Also hate the branding.

River · Accepted Answer

Hello there, thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Anodic Backpack. When it comes to the straps, they’re designed with integrated strap‑keepers to help manage any extra length — looping the excess back through the elastic keeper usually keeps everything secure and prevents flopping during movement. We understand that preferences around branding can vary, and we appreciate you letting us know how it feels for you on this pack.

Question 4

I see there is a brand-mark "veilance" on the lower right side. Is this just for the picture, or is this really fixed to the bag? I love veilance because it has no branding, and this is the first time I see such thing (and hope its not really so).

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for your question. The Anodic Backpack does feature a small Veilance brand mark on the lower right side, as shown in the product images. We understand that Veilance's minimalist, no-logo aesthetic is important to many customers, and we’ll be happy to share your feedback with our team.

Question 5

The shoulder straps looking very thin - Are they still comfortable when the backpack is half or full loaded?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. Although the adjustable shoulder straps on the Anodic Backpack are low profile, the backpack remains comfortable even when it is partially or fully loaded. We recommend trying the backpack on in person to see how it feels for you. We hope this helps!

Question 6

Will it act as a floatation device if swimming or will water saturate the bag?

Luna · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for your question. The Anodic Backpack is designed as a daily‑carry bag for the city. While it uses 400D AC² nylon twill with seam‑taped construction for excellent protection in wet conditions, it is not fully waterproof and not intended to be submerged. That said, the Anodic won’t function as a flotation device, as it isn’t designed with the buoyant materials or sealed construction needed to stay afloat when used in water. We hope this helps!

Question 7

Does it have a trolley sleeve? Also, is there a pocket or strap to keep the excess shoulder straps out of the way. This could be a problem at airport security etc.

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Benny, thanks for reaching out. The Anodic Backpack does not feature a trolley sleeve or a pocket to store the straps while not in use. That said, you can tighten the straps to have them as close to the pack as possible while not in use. We hope this helps!

Question 8

Dear Arc’teryx, what do you mean “Taiwan, China” in origin of fabric ? Is it sourced from a manufacturer in Taiwan or in (mainland) China?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. The material used for the Anodic Backpack is from Taiwan, China. We hope this helps!

Question 9

What is the warranty?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. Arc'teryx is proud of the quality and performance of all our products. Please find a link to the complete terms and conditions for our Limited Warranty here: https://arcteryx.com/ca/en/help/limited-warranty

Question 10

Is the expectation that customers buy a $650 backpack without pictures of the inside of it?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Damian, we appreciate you providing your feedback for additional photos of the backpack. Having interior photos is important for understanding organization and layout, and we'll be sure to pass this feedback along to the team for future consideration. In the meantime, you’re welcome to check the reviews section, where some guests have shared their own photos of the backpack after purchasing, including interior photos. We hope this helps!
