Une veste légère et super agréable à porter. Résidant à Marseille, les températures sont plutôt clémentes, j'ai porté cette veste une bonne partie de l'hiver avec un simple pull en laine en dessous.
J'avais beaucoup hésité avant de l'acheter et j'étais dubitatif face aux commentaires élogieux stipulant que c'était leur meilleure veste. Après plusieurs mois d'utilisation, c'est également ma veste préférée qui ne me quitte plus.
Je garde dans mon sac la Beta SL en cas d'intempéries et là je crains plus les éléments méditerranéens.
Je ne connaissais la marque Arcteryx que de nom, je suis maintenant un grand fan !!

Worn out due to poor materials

Be aware of poor material. I’m not used to wear a back pack so I haven’t noticed this matter which is mentioned by many people. But I can tell worn out the jacket by wearing a bag pack for 1 day long travel.

Worst product I have ever purchased

I purchased this product which I paid £260 for. I only wore it a handful of times before the material at the top of an arm became frayed and started to split. I referred this Arcteryx who apologised and offered me 40% off my next purchase. Why would I want to purchase another Arcteryx product when I have had such a negative experience. I was told by the Arcteryx staff member that the material on the jacket was damaged as a result of wearing a heavy pack which it is not designed for. I wore the jacket with a light pack which is what is illustrated in some of the on line photographs. Eventually I managed to negotiate a replacement product after having to send an official letter under consumer rights legislation for the UK. I will never buy another Arcteryx product and I do not recommend the Atom hoody. This is priced at £260, I am not wealthy and to spend this much on a jacket I expected a great deal more and better customer service. Arcteryx purport to offer high end products my experience would dictate otherwise. Avoid the Atom Hoody and Arcteryx at all costs.

Troisième veste ATOM commandée et je suis toujours satisfaite.
📌 En revanche, le transporteur est à déplorer. Le produit m’a été livré une semaine après la réception sur la plate-forme, après de nombreuses négociations auprès de la plate-forme de livraison.
Conseil: changer de transporteur !!!!

Atom Hoody on Mauna Kea Summit Attempt.

I recently purchased the Atom Hoody for my Hike on Mauna Kea. I took a pre-summit acclimation hike on March 9th, 2025 and I had too much gear on. It was a warm and sunny 51 Degree F day and I had on heavy duty insulated pants, boots and a heavy coat that ended up in my daypack. I came back the next day (March 10th) with my new Atom Hoody and Cronin pants for my summit attempt, and it was raining, cold and extremely wet. None of this was in the forecast! The forecast was for 45 Degree F Sunny day with 10% chance of rain. At the Vistor Center - the temp was 40 degrees and raining. I had on enough layers on for no rain, but I didn't think I had the right gear on for rain. I hiked for 6 hours getting 2.4 miles from the summit before turning around.
I felt a real change in the weather temperature and it started to Sleet. There were only 6 of us hikers on the mountain this day. When speaking to the Rangers back at the Visitor Center - the Park Rangers confirmed a temperture at the Summit of 20 degrees, and Sleet starting at the 5 mile Mark, right where I turned around.
The Atom Hoody is very much the real deal! I was very pleasantly surprised how well the jacket performed in horrific mountain weather. Super Light weight and dried very fast. There were none of the normal cold spots from wind (up and down the zipper and around the cuffs). Because of this performance, I am already looking at getting a True Shell Jacket from Arc'teryx. Awesome Product and company!
I am now a huge fan and will be a customer for life!
