Question 1

I am in S size, wonder if I should get one size down (XS) as its a oversize jacket. Any suggestion. I am 5'3. Thank you

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Lily, thank you for your question. As you mentioned, the Ifora Jacket does feature an oversized fit, meaning it is cut loosely throughout the entire body. It is hard to determine what size you should wear based solely on your height; however, we'd be happy to provide you with the key measurements for sizes XS and S to help with your decision:

Size XS
Chest Width: 120cm
Waist Width: 126cm
Center Back Length: 71.2cm
Sleeve Length (from center back neck to shoulder point to bottom sleeve edge): 81.5cm

Size S
Chest Width: 125cm
Waist Width: 131cm
Center Back Length: 72.5cm
Sleeve Length: 84cm

Please note that we offer free shipping and free returns within our authorized return window, so you’re welcome to order multiple sizes, try them on at home, and return any that don’t work—completely free of charge. We hope this helps!

Question 2

Dear Arcteryx, I’d like to ask how this Ifora jacket differs from the Beta Coat (2024). Could you please tell me the total length and width across the waist in size XXS? If I’d like a warmer option, should I choose the softshell jacket? thanks or advice

Luna · Accepted Answer

Hi Petra, thank you for your question. The Ifora Jacket and Beta Coat are designed for different uses, so I'm happy to clarify the differences and share three key measurements in size XXS.

Beta Coat
Chest Width: 97.0 cm
Waist Width: 98.5 cm
Front Center Length: 78.5 cm

Ifora Jacket
Chest Width: 115.0 cm
Waist Width: 121.0 cm
Front Center Length: 62.5 cm

The Ifora Jacket is an oversized, trench‑inspired shell designed for a range of urban environments and conditions. It features a ponytail‑compatible Veilance™ StormHood, dual‑entry external utility pockets, and a hidden front zipper with a snap placket for a clean, streamlined look. In contrast, the Beta Coat is a longer‑length, all‑mountain weatherproof shell designed for versatility in changing conditions. It includes an adjustable DropHood™, a two‑way front zipper, an internal dump pocket, a zippered security pocket, and large dual‑entry hand pockets for added storage.

Neither the Ifora Jacket nor the Beta Coat is insulated; both are shell garments designed to be layered with a base layer and an insulated or fleece midlayer for warmth. Softshell jackets are typically made from air‑permeable, four‑way stretch woven fabrics. They offer added comfort and breathability and may feel cozier in certain conditions, but they are not intended as a primary source of warmth. We hope this helps!

Question 3

Hi! Quick question about sizing — what’s the difference between XS and S? I’d be using it for daily wear. A 52 cm front usually fits me well. I’m 1.60 m tall with roughly 50 cm shoulders. Would you suggest XS or S for me?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Pola, thanks for reaching out. To find the best fit, we recommend comparing your full body measurements to our size chart, as this will give you the most accurate guidance for a comfortable fit. To help with your sizing decision, please find the measurements for the Ifora Jacket below:

Size XS
Chest Width: 120.0 cm
Center Front Length: 63.7 cm
Sleeve Length from Center Back: 81.5 cm

Size S
Chest Width: 125.0 cm
Center Front Length: 65.0
Sleeve Length from Center Back: 84.0 cm

We hope this helps!

Question 4

Hi there, is Ifora jacket fits even more relaxed/loose compare to Liatris ? Thanks

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for your question! Yes, the Ifora Jacket will fit more relaxed/loose than jackets from the Liatris line. The Ifora Jacket Women's features an oversized fit. It's designed to be cut loosely throughout the body, with dropped shoulders and wide sleeves to provide freedom of movement and a contemporary, draped look. The Liatris line uses a relaxed fit, which is also cut fairly loose through the chest and waist but maintains a bit more structure while still offering comfort and ease of movement. We hope this helps!

Question 5

what size should I order if I am 5'8 and 130 lbs

Luna · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for your question. The Ifora Jacket was designed with an Oversized Fit with dropped shoulders and wide sleeves for a contemporary look. Here are the garment measurements for sizes Small and Medium:

Size Small
Chest width: 125.0 cm
Waist width: 131.0 cm
Hem width: 136.5 cm

Size Medium
Chest width: 130.0 cm
Waist width: 136.0 cm
Hem width: 141.5 cm

If you prefer a more relaxed or regular fit, we recommend sizing down. And if you’re unsure, we offer free returns, so you can always order two sizes and keep the one that fits best. You can find the details here: https://arcteryx.com/us/en/help/returns. We hope this helps!

Question 6

Is that a warm jacket?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Bianca, thanks for reaching out. The Ifora Jacket is made with GORE-TEX, making it fully waterproof and windproof, but it does not include any insulation. We recommend pairing it with a base layer and an insulated midlayer or fleece for added warmth and a complete layering system. We hope this helps!

Question 7

How to remove wrinkles from this Ifora jacket?

River · Accepted Answer

Hello there, to remove wrinkles from your Ifora Jacket, hang it on a broad-shouldered hanger and let it rest for a few hours to allow the fabric to relax naturally. You can also hang it in the bathroom while taking a hot shower to let the steam gently release the wrinkles. Another option is to place the jacket in a dryer on low heat with a slightly damp, clean cloth for about 10 minutes. If wrinkles persist, we recommend a full wash and dry.
