Pilling is a natural occurrence that can develop over time as a result of normal wear and friction, and the amount of pilling can vary significantly depending on how the garment is used, what it comes into contact with, and individual wear patterns. As a result, some guests may experience more pilling than others, even with the same product. If pilling does occur, we recommend using a fabric shaver or pill remover to safely restore the garment's appearance. We hope this helps.

When worn under a shell for resort skiing, how does this compare in warmth , breathability, and durability to the Atom Jacket?

If you're looking for a midlayer to wear under a shell for resort skiing, both the Kyanite Jacket and the Atom Jacket are excellent options, but they deliver warmth in different ways. The Atom will generally provide more warmth thanks to its synthetic insulation, making it a great choice for colder days or for skiers who spend a lot of time on the lift. The Kyanite relies on the insulating properties of its Polartec fleece and tends to offer greater breathability and moisture management, which can be beneficial if you tend to run warm or prefer a more versatile layer that transitions easily between activities. Both are durable designs intended for mountain use, but if warmth is your primary concern, we would recommend the Atom. What are the chest / hip / sleeve / length measurements of the old kyanite jacket and this one in a SMALL? And how does this compare to same 4 measurements for the Delta jacket? Thank you

Hi there, thanks for reaching out! The Kyanite Jacket has not undergone any size changes between the 2024 and 2025 models, so the current measurements remain consistent with last year. For reference, we’ve also included the 2023 version, which had a slightly smaller chest measurement due to minor revisions in sizing. While hip measurements are not available in our system, we’re happy to share the other details you requested: in a size Small, the 2023 Kyanite Jacket measured 102.4 cm in the chest, 82.9 cm in the sleeve, and 56.3 cm in center front length; the 2025 Kyanite Jacket (same as 2024) measures 103.4 cm in the chest, 82.9 cm in the sleeve, and 56.3 cm in center front length; and the Delta Jacket in size Small measures 102.9 cm in the chest, 87.3 cm in the sleeve, and 57 cm in center front length. Has the fabric been updated to get rid of the pilling issue that was clearly a common thread amongst the negative reviews in recent years? I would like confirmation on that before placing an order to guarantee that is not an issue.
