Cerium Hoody Herren

This is my second time with this jacket and I continue to love it. Great constitution considering the weight and I love the hood adjustment compared to other jackets in this category. Also looks great bumming around town on cold days

I had purchased the Arc'teryx Cerium during November 2022 and had done a lot of searching for a versatile coat that could be used for hiking, getting to work in Canadian winters, and general day to day use. After less than a year, the fabric started to exhibit little holes with feathers peaking through on the front side and on the sleeve. These were not just due to feathers poking through but, upon closer inspection, I could see that the material itself was tearing. This was very disappointing to see but I felt confident that Arc'teryx would have a strong warranty and product protection standard given that it's perceived as a high quality brand. I have taken good care of this product and used it for less than a year (it's not my only winter coat), so this was particularly surprising to see. Upon contacting the customer service team, I was informed that the tears were not covered under their warranty and was offered a 30% discount on purchase of another product and some Tenacious Tape instead - I could understand the use of the tape if it were under use for a longer period, but this is unacceptable in my view given the pricing of this product. This was particularly disappointing and especially for a product with a high quality standard that I would expect of Arcteryx - the main reason why I chose to purchase this brand. I have previously purchased from other reputable winter coat manufacturers and none of my jackets from those makers have ever had damage this early into ownership. I have reviewed the information outlined on the Arc'teryx warranty site and I would think that 1 year is not unreasonable when reading the language used - "Practical Product Lifespan". I have been asked by several friends and peers at work about my opinion of this product (as several people I know are considering the purchase of a new winter coat) and I've had to share my unfortunate experience. Just really disappointing overall.

This is a upgrade for me from a very similar (by design and concept) Columbia packable down puffy that I'd worn for a while and quite liked, but just wasn't very warm, and took a bit of work to pack down to the size I wanted. This is a different league, as expected. Fit/Comfort: I'm 5'6, 130 lbs, 28" waist, 37" chest, very fit. I got the XS. It's snug, as I wanted it to be, and cut extremely well; I can even wear it comfortably over a wool turtleneck and a blazer (I wouldn't try fitting more than that underneath, though). I also want to mention that the sleeve lining is shockingly not sweaty, making this the first jacket I've ever had with synthetic non-fleece-lined sleeves that's actually comfortable on bare skin (along with the Macai, which may somehow be even slightly more comfortable on bare skin). All told, it's extremely comfortable. Weight/Packability: Not the lightest on the market, but very light, and I particularly like that it uses an attached stuff sack, because I wind up with zipper concerns from jackets that pack into their own pockets. The empty stuff sack tucks away into the interior pocket quietly. The stuff sack is also sort of tubular with a squared bottom, and the shape allows for easy packing along the side or across the top of even a small ruck. Warmth: Almost excessive. In 0°C (32°F) on a cloudy day in central Europe, I wore this over just a t-shirt and was entirely comfortable; I lived in the northern Rocky Mountain region for a while and have a good cold tolerance, but I don't really run hot, and was surprised this jacket kept me warm. Don't put it on until you're headed out the door or you'll be sweating by the time you do. I can't imagine high-intensity activity in this unless the temps were sub-zero Fahrenheit. For me, hiking in 15-35° Fahrenheit with a single wool base layer, gloves, and a hat is a good space for this hoody. It's very, very warm. Overall, an amazing option for packable warmth with an excellent fit.

Schon lange überlegt ob ich mir diese Jacke zulegen soll, dann beim Black Friday Deal endlich zugeschlagen. Als die Jacke angekommen ist war ich anfangs sehr skeptisch (dieses leichte Stück Textil mit ein bisschen Daune soll mich im Winter wirklich warm halten?), doch sie hat die Bewährungsprobe bravurös gemeistert. Wir hatten die letzten 2 Wochen permanent so um die -5C in den Bergen, manchmal sogar kälter, und ich hab die Jacke als Toplayer genutzt (darunter nur ein T-shirt und einen leichten Sweater), mir war immer wohlig warm. Überleg mir sogar gerade noch eine zweite zu kaufen. Langzeittest folgt.

A good jacket but it's still fitted cut even though it says regular cut on the website.

I bought this a month ago & have used this moderately until now. And so far it seems like a fantastic jacket - in terms of how light & how warm and comfortable it is. THere are some negative reviews about the quality of the product - which i can only comment on after i have used this for a year or so.

Really pleased with this, have tried every brand and jacket there is and wasted a load of money pursuing the warmth in a lightweight jacket - but this is exceptional.

Bought this jacket a few weeks ago and I loved it! It serves its purpose for winter season. Very warm and the hoody just fit right in my head.

The zip is so so bad. How can you have better zips on your tote bags. This thing is a shocker and totally ruins what is otherwise a lovely puffer jacket. Stop cutting costs and add the old style zipper please

I'm 163cm, bought S size and it fits perfectly, even over a hoody. Super warm and lightweight. It packs very small and easy to store in a backpack. I used it in some dynamic situations while working (I'm a photographer) and I stayed cozy and warm all the time. Overall very very happy with it.

I bought the sprint color of this jacket during the black friday final sale. It is absolutely terrible experience. The product i received looks like has stains but actually it's coming from the down itself. But it look terrible, does not match their product pic at all. I contacted their customer service, and they claimed this is not a flawed product and do not accept return due to this is a final sale. (Fine, i do accepted the fact that final sale product cannot be returned) But the product I received do not match their picture at all!!! So disappointed on how they handle this.

I recently bought this jacket and it is good. The fit is perfect, but I can’t say anything about the quality because I’ve only been wearing it for a few days. But I can note that zip is not reliable. The jacket is not as warm as you might expect, but it is very warm for its weight of 300 grams. Now, It’s the beginning of the winter and the region where I live has a very cold winds. The temperature is about 0°, but with such winds it seems that it is lower. Well, the jacket copes well with such a climate, but it is better to choose something warmer.

Bought this jacket about two weeks ago. Everything is fine except the zipper is always detached from the lower end. And it is hard to unzip. Not such quality expected from Arc’teryx.

5’8 170 athletic build wearing size medium. First impressions are solid. Definitely fitted. Definitely light weight. Fit is good, despite the slim fit I can actually layer a hoodie underneath. This is my first arc jacket, so far impressed. I’ve been using it as a stand alone around -5c. Layered under beta ar nicely at -15c.

The only drawback to this jacket is that it is TOO WARM. I live in southern Ontario and with one Tee this jacket can creates a lot of sweat if you walk outside for 10 minutes, at 0 Celcius (+-5Celcius), so I would recommend wearing them on or after December, when you enter "real winter", this thing can really handle some cold days. Other features are awesome, including fit, design, and build quality (the bird logo at the chest also considered here if that's what you care especially), everything to be expected at this price range. Besides, if anything I discover in the future use, I would update here. Thanks.

This is my third Cerium hoody. I hope they keep making these forever. Excellent warmth to weight ratio. Internal temp seems self regulating in that on a cool fall day you’re not sweaty warm but yet it keeps you toasty warm on a cold day in January. The fit is on the leaner side and allows mobility for activities.

Fabric fell apart after two wears. When I went to the store in person they offered me an ugly patch job. No exchange, store credit or other suitable option. Insinuated it was my fault and this jacket "should not be worn as an exterior piece." Guess what; the jacket is described in this very listing as a versatile "stand-alone" piece. Will not shop here again as a result of this experience. If it's ok that a $500 jacket fell apart after two wears, it's time to rethink who you think your customer base is.
