Great light all around pants

Very happy. I have a pair of Gamma AR already for colder days. These are nice and light and do a great job keeping the cold and wind out. Surprisingly warmer than I expected. Fits as advertised.

Looking for pants that provide comfort around the thighs and stay in place during hikes? Look no further! I've had my fair share of frustration with women's hiking pants being too tight where they shouldn't be. However, these pants exceeded my expectations. I purchased them with two goals in mind: 1) to wear them for hiking and 2) to switch to my Vans and instantly transform them into a stylish and comfortable pair of pants. On a side not, they're impressively quick to dry!

My go to pants for fall and winter

I love how durable these pants are and how comfortable they feel when wearing. I wear them on their own during cool/cold weather trail walks and I sometimes layer tights underneath when the weather turns really cold, but they are usually warm enough for me on their own and I feel the cold easily.Great pant.

I have three pairs of gamma pass from the LT‘s to the Mex, and they are incredibly comfortable, keep their shape, love the fact, that their water repellent for wearing on the ocean, when you paddle to snowshoeing of the local mountains to travelling abroad to Iceland or hiking in the mountains of Switzerland. incredibly versatile for every situation.

These have a great all around feel, super comfy and stretchy and yet tough enough to wear climbing and know I won't get scratched up. I also like that they don't have belt loops as I find that backpack straps often cut in at those points.

Best pants for rock climbing

I've had my pair of Gamma Pants for at least 5-6 years now. I wear them all the time and they keep on keeping up. Great for a day out for single or multi-pitch climbs. The side zipper pocket is perfectly placed for my phone.

Fit well, comfortable, look great, love these pant

I have two pairs of gamma shorts and was thrilled to see there was a long pant version. These pants fit my athletic but petite build (5’ 2” at 120 pounds with short muscular legs). They look great no matter what activity I’m engaged in - including going into the office. They are pricy but worth every penny. Wish I could buy 2-pair in every color.

I bought this product this summer and it has exceeded my expectations! I love the water-resistant material and the comfortability of the pants! They keep me warm when I need it and cool when I’m sweating! I would say I’m between a 4 and 6, but I’m glad I got the looser fit for myself!

Best pant ever! In town or mountains!

These pants are my favorite go to pant whether I’m hiking or gardening or going out on errands in town. They hold their shape, look great (and I’m over 60), and are terrific in rain, a sunny fall day and snow flurries and everything in between. I have them in three colors and two in navy.

After years, still like new!

I already had 2 pairs until this years model. I have taken them a many long ditance treks. These pants are very comfortable, don’t wrinkle, easy to clean and last forever. Bought my third pair for the Boxcar color. So pretty! I even wear them to work. Seriously worth the price.

Comfy, durable, and decently weather resistant

I've been a pretty die hard lulu pant wearing hiker and I recently purchased these as a heavier shoulder season pant. The sizing is tough so I'd recommend trying on if you can (I'm 5' 5", 25 in waist and the 00 works best for me). These held up to colder temps (anything below freezing for a long time I'd say to layer underneath), scrambling, and some water. Overall, I'm pretty impressed. It is so nice to have every pocket have a zipper!!!

Major design flaw!

I bought these pants a few years ago, paying $200. I wore them mostly for travelling and for safety I walked around without a purse, keeping my ID & bank cards in the secured zippered leg pocket.
This worked for a while until I went into this pocket to grab my Visa card and discovered the heat sealed lining which attached the pocket to the leg had completely separated from the leg and all my cards had fallen through, down my leg and out onto the street! Was I ever MAD!! This is a catastophic failure in design and should never happen. Why not at least stitch the pocket shut and then heat seal it to the leg? Arcteryx did reseal the pocket material to the leg but isn't this just another major fail waiting to happen? I notice these pants are STILL incorporating the same ridiculous technology today. I do not recommend using this leg pocket for anything of value, as it will end up on the street without your awareness.

Very disappointing purchase. Not a durable item as advertised. Many horizontal lines of imperfections in the fabric appeared on both thighs after the first laundering. Not what one would expect from an Arc’teryx garment.

Pants that move with you

The perfect pants for climbing or hiking. The material is durable against rock and the stretch allows you to move freely.
I found the size to run a bit small compared to the Konseal Pants for example, but the stretch compensates for the smaller size. I’m 5’4 and wear size 4-S and the draw cord sits perfectly at my ankle, which is a great feature.
The side picked placement and built in belt make these very functional.

Perfect all-around pants!

Picked these up for paddling the Bowron Lake circuit, and find them functional at just the right weight for what I was needing. Love the built in belt and the zippered pockets. The drawstrings at the bottom of the pant leg allows these to instantly become more like a jogger. 5'6, 150lbs, wear an 8R.

New redesign style doesnt work

This is my 4th, over the years, pair of Gamma (LT), and the first disappointing redesign fit. I love the fabric and the pocket styling, these are my go-to travel pants. I am 5'2" 118lb, and curvy in the hips, I bought 4 short - my usual size in these. The rise is too high for a short person and the material bunches up oddly in the crotch, the tapered leg is too narrow to fit over a boot, so can't wear in the fall. I always rely on Arc'teryx for a well-thought-out design, this wasn't it for me. These pants feel like they were designed for fashion, not function. Hopefully will be better with the next evolution of pants.

The Gamma pants have become my absolute choice of choices when I am purchasing pants. They fit GREAT, have pockets for days, fabric wears well, and they dry fast when I get them wet!! The sizing guide is accurate - meaning I found my measurements and ordered the correlating size and they fit perfect!! I appreciate that as well even if it seems like a minor thing ;0)

I really enjoy the gamma softshell material; its durable but lightweight and also water repellent. They are comfy to wear and are a stylish piece as well; I've worn them as everyday pants and not just for outdoor activities. I love the forage colourway and I wear my gamma pants all the time!

Well Made and Great Fit

These pants are realty nice. While I don’t consider myself a hiker, I am a dog walker and am outside a lot in all kinds of weather, most recently in the summer heat and humidity. I did not overheat. The material and fit were excellent. I like how you can tighten the ankle part, ticks won’t crawl inside. The zippered pockets are deep and the zippers work easily. I am 5 feet 2, 115 lbs. and purchased the 4 regular. My waist is 30” and my hips 35.” I have two pairs of the Arcteryx Sabria pants that they no long make in size 6 and although they fit, they are slightly large so I opted for the size 4 in these pants which I am glad I did. I purchased the Forage, Black Sapphire and Black colors. They are worth the money. In the winter I will add a base layer. You can also adjust the built in belt. The snap closure is underneath. I wore them to the supermarket the first day I received them and I got a compliment.

Not all bodies are the same

Ok, some ladies are mad that the rise went up, others, like me, are happy. I'm not fat, but I AM curvy. I'm 5'7 and when I was 110 lbs and my hip bones were protruding, the smallest size I could wear was a 9. Now, many years later, I definitely carry more weight & its not as firm. However, my hips will NEVER fit within the boyish figure parameters. I need that higher rise, and would appreciate a little more room in the hips & thighs for better range of motion and breathability. Product lines need to start looking at WHO is buying their garments. We are curvy and tall and slim and short and busty and flat, etc. PLEASE develop lines to accommodate our differently-shaped bodies, and if you realize that a product line is always sold out, for the love of God, make more!

Best quality pant for everyday activities!!

I order a size 2S and it fit perfect for me. Also, the color is very cool. I bought because I'am going to Bali and I'm sure the Gamma pant will be confortable during all my trip including the long long trip by plane.

New version has nice upgrades but rise is too long

I love all of the Arcteryx designs and fabrics but am continually disappointed by the rise length in the short version of all the pants offered. I have tried all three current hiking styles (Gamma, Gamma LT, Hantun) and the rise is so long it creates this unattractive bunching of extra fabric when I sit or walk. Like a saggy crotch look which is very uncomfortable and unappealing. Everything else is perfect. For short people please consider a shorter rise. I don't know many short people with a 29" inseam and a 10" rise. The Palisade pant was great but you don't make them anymore. Those were an 8" rise. I really enjoy this technical fabric for year round hiking and the pockets, drawstring at hem to tighten over boots, and the waistband for backpacking. Please adjust the rise in future version so I can enjoy them too!
