I'm 5’4 (163cm) and usually wear a size S. Arcteryx pants vary a lot, depending on what look I want. I tried this in both a 4 and a 2, but I still think the waist was too big. I ended up with a size 0 short.
I've heard so many good things about the other cotton version, and I hope you bring it back. Especially in the color tatsu!

Love this pant! Although I have a slight preferences for the Gamma Pant.
I ordered the regular length in the Gamma and fits perfectly. I am 5'9' for reference.
The Clarkia Wide Leg pant in regular is just a tad too short. I measured the inseam from crotch to crotch, and there is at least 2 inches of difference, making the Gamma longer.
I will keep the pant because the Tall is out of stock, but if available, I would have traded.
As for material and comfort, very similar to the Gamma, in the Clarkia, the pockets dont have zippers other than for the side pocket. I can fully squat in both with makes it very comfy for outdoor activities. I love that this pant had two buttons, which makes it secure and prevents from opening.
The waist is high rise.
Overall I appreciate the conception and fit of this pant! :)

Best for curvy bodies

These are the *best* pants for outdoors and everyday if you’re curvy (like me)! My measurements are 43.5” hip and 31.5” waist—the 12 fits me well. I could’ve gotten the 12 Tall. They’re loose in the leg but you can adjust the waist which is so flattering. PLEASE bring back the cotton version and more colors!!

These are my favorite pants

finally something for the curvy girls. I am all hips, thighs and tush. Typically I find pants too tight in the thighs and too loose in the waist. These are perfect! baggy enough to accommodate my thighs. The waist clench is perfect to accommodate for the smaller waist so I won't get the gap in the back of the pants. if you are anywhere near curvy or bottom heavy, these are the pants for you. If you are not, stick with the regular fit pants you might find these too big. also go two sizes down from your typical Arcteryx size for these.

Not as good as last season

I love my Clarkia pants from last year, ordered another pair and was disappointed with the change to material and construction. The last design felt worth the whole $180, these do not. There were also slight changes to the fit. The waist did not sit very high and fit tighter in the midriff even though I ordered the same size. The material was much lighter and had a crunchy feeling compared to the durable and soft cotton in the last iteration. I’ve included a photo of the old waistband (green) vs the new waistband (black). The old style was overall better constructed with a more thoughtful design. This is the best example. Bummed out!

The two styles share a similar silhouette but are intentionally made with different materials and design details to serve different needs.
