Had an older version of this toque that fit perfectly. Unfortunately I lost it and had to replace it with this one. The new version is larger and stretchier and doesn’t feel or fit as nicely as the previous one. Unless you have a large head you may want to consider something else.

I totally agree with you, for the last few years, every time they release a new version I look at it and it is not as good as the older models in terms of construction or even the colours. I contact Customer Service and just get ignored. It would be nice to get an explanation to why they complete changed the older version which was far better than this. In my opinion, their catch phrase of "Evolution in Action" doesn't apply here.

Bought a beanie about a month ago, they actually ended up sending me the wrong color of the hat but were nice enough to ship the original color to me for free. I love the hat and how it fits, very warm. Thanks again!

At first I thought my 56cm. head looked like a shape of boiled egg wearing this but all the kinda-tight fit yet comfortable that you can use every cold day actually has a good purpose because it’s designed to be use under the helmet and it’s literally kept my head and ears warm during the E-bike ride though the cold wind in early morning (thanks to the fleece inside that wrapped around half of the head and breathable top). Definitely going to get more of this beanie because my cat already took mine.

Tried lots of others, this hat is amazing. I have a bigger head and this fits it, like a glove. Covers my ears, keeps me warm, doesn't flair out and fits close to the head.

I bought the 24k beanie but it didn’t fit like I wanted it to. I usually wear large in hats (7 1/2inch) and beanies so I was rather disappointed it couldn’t fit me because I really like the quality and look of this beanie

I received this toque as a gift a little over a month ago and it already has a tear in it. I am unsure what caused it as I just wear it in town. I noticed a thread had come loose a while ago and has lead to this hole.
Pretty disappointed, expected better quality from arc’teryx.
Also, did fit perfectly for me but I have a very small head.

Great color way, way too small

I was excited to finally get an arc'teryx beanie, in the "magic wander" color way, but was disappointed in the small fit. For comparison's sake I wear a fitted baseball cap in a size 7 5/8, which I guess is on the larger size but a fairly common one. The hat feels very tight on my head and I find myself not wanting to wear it.

When I put on the hat on and cover my ears, I can feel it rising up over a few minutes leaving leaving my ears exposed. It will not stay all the way on.

It is definitely smaller than expected and the magician color looked blue on the website. It is actually more green than blue. A common color name would help to determine if it is the color desired - for example, Teal or Navy is far more descriptive than Magician.

Got this a week ago and the color blue is what is shown web-site. The fit is a little small and short to cover the ears, and I don't feel I have a large head size. Could be more of a medium to large fit for one size fits. Feels like it is slowly sliding off after while as I am pulling on it to make sure it stays on. Not sure if it will really stretch some over time to feel more comfortable. I have to say it is thin enough to wear under a bike helmet and keep your head warm when riding on cool windy days.

tight fit, color doesn't match pics

I love my dead bird products - I generally have at least one on at all times, sometimes 3-4 because they're versatile & durable & so, even if "pricy", of good value. This is the first real complaint I've had - 1.) the color of the product received does not match marketing pictures (it's not a bad color, but not what I was hoping for/thought I was buying), and I understand that color is affected by the device displayed on, but I'd expect the color in marketing pics to be closer to true 2.) as another reviewer posted, the fit is tight. I've noticed I'm getting a headache when I wear it, it's that tight, so I've stopped wearing it & switched to another toque (and I wouldn't say my head is unusually large but others may say that's just my ego talking ;)

Just had this delivered. It looks great but is tiny! Too small for me, too small for my 10 year old son. Feels like it would ping off your head in more than a light breeze. Headgear like this needs to be versatile, you need to be able to tug it down low over the ears when the rain and sleet gets horizontal.
