Cozy and flattering

I have a Rho merino base layer from 2018ish that I absolutely love, and I was hoping this would be the same material. Definitely seems to be! That one is warm and soft and has held up amazingly well to climbing and mountain rescue work. I wish this Satoro hoodie was just a bit longer, but I’m very happy with the fit overall. I usually wear a small in Arc'teryx jackets and shirts, but always size up to a medium in their baseware tops.

Love the built in balaclava

I love this top especially on cooler days. I was skeptical at first but after wearing it the first time I found that the balaclava face protection stays in place so much better than a buff and easier to breathe through. I’m still waiting for the return of the Satoro AR 1/2 zip. I have holes in the armpits and elbows but I love the weight and desperately need a refresh.

A perfect base layer for snow activities!

I've used it as a base layer for skiing in -5C sunny, no wind conditions with Atom Jacket and Sentinel on top. That is my second Merino Wool piece from our brand. and the previous one from two years ago was a bit itchy. But I've decided to try it as I wanted a top base layer + balaclava / neck gaiter in one piece. It worked pretty well - I loved how warm, soft, light, and stretchy it is. The only thing is that the ponytail port doesn't work for me as if I do one braid / ponytail it's too thick to put it under a helmet - I had to keep my two braids under the hood.

Love everything about it!

Amazing hood design, great fit, and super comfortable. I’m sensitive to wool, so always worried it will be scratchy, especially as a base layer, but this top is soft and not itchy at all!

One of my favorite tops from Arc'teryx!

This is my new favorite top to lounge around in. I took it on the Wonderland Trail around Mt Rainier Sept 24-Oct 3 as part of my sleep system and it is so cozy and soft. I paired it with the Satoro wool pants. The combo kept me very comfortable in 30-40 degree temps in my sleeping bag. Now that I am home I wear it around town as a normal top. Love the ponytail hole in the hood and how it comes up around the face. I see myself using this often during snowboarding season as well. Definitely recommend! Am hoping it will not pill with longer term use but time will tell.

My new favorite.

This might be my new favorite piece! I wore it during a hut to hut trip in the Dolomites (every day!). It was warm and cozy but not too hot. My favorite thing about it is how the hood fits. It’s not floppy like many hoods. I also wore it on a very cold 34 mile bike ride around the Dolomites Sellaronda ride. The hood fit under my helmet without issue. I HIGHLY recommend this. I’m 5’ 4”/ 115# and got the extra small. It is a perfect fit.

Nicely built mid-weight layer

This is a close-fitting and warm mid-weight layer. It's really lovely - strong construction, nice long sleeves, and a really fitted neck when the hood isn't up. Size chart is accurate, but it is definitely fitted.
