Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. The Gamma Hoody is made with Fortius DW 2.0 fabric, which is weather-resistant, breathable, and durable. That said, it is not waterproof. If you are looking for a waterproof jacket, we recommend looking into one of our options that features GORE-TEX. We hope this helps!

Question 7

May I know the main difference between Gamma MX Hoody and Gamma Hoody? Which have better breathable for hiking? Are they both suitable to add mid-layer inside, and won't feel too tight?
Thanks.

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Jeff, thanks for reaching out. The Gamma MX Hoody is the warmer option. It is made with a Fortius 2.0 softshell fabric that includes a fleece backer, which adds insulation and is intended for mixed conditions. Because of this added warmth, it is less breathable and better suited for cooler temperatures. The Gamma Hoody is lighter weight and does not have a fleece backing. This makes it noticeably more breathable and a better choice for hiking, especially in milder or warmer conditions where managing heat and moisture is important. Both jackets feature our regular fit and are designed to allow for layering. You can add a light to midweight layer underneath either option without it feeling restrictive. We hope this helps!

Question 8

Question 9

Hi. What type of specialist washing product should i use , softshell type? I use grangers and nikwax specifically. Grazie mille
