Excellent trousers. I bought these to replace my Levons so only for light use. These are great but I do like the cotton/poly material better and back packets would be good. Great shape though

Miss having the belt that came with the Gamma LT ones that I bought in March 2023 and the snap on these ones doesn't seem to fasten as tight as my last pair. I have taken the tags off now so hoping the snap stays snapped during my walks.

If you actually want to wear these pants outside and not to just sit on your couch (who needs pants for that?), don't purchase these. On my third time ever wearing these, I road biked into town in the rain and got a dirt stripe up my butt, a normal occurrence when wearing outdoor gear outside. Only problem - the mud didn't wash out. I washed and dried the pants according to instructions, and still, the stain remained. Contacted customer service and all they offered me was a gift card for 20% of the value of the pants - I guess I'll replace my fancy pants with a pair of socks? Pants fit great, but no, I don't want people staring at my butt mud stripe when I'm climbing. If the stain were anywhere else I'd be a little more lenient, but it looks like I pooped my pants. I'm really sad about this because the pants fit and feel great, but now I'm just really self-conscious wearing these. Main takeaway for you, arc'teryx: $240 pants should have a little more ability to withstand basic outdoors elements like mud. Please do better, both with your fabric sourcing and your customer service.

These are awesome pants. I love how more room was given in seat and thigh for strong legs. Only thing is the cuff is a little wide at the ankle.

Love the fit - and I appreciate how the waist cinches to make sure they don't fall down. ***HOWEVER....the snap WILL NOT stay snapped, rendering the cinching useless. These pants do not stay fastened, especially with active movement / bending over / climbing. These should have a loop/hook closure, or an actual button. Anything would be more effective than a single snap. Arc'teryx - can I send these back to have the snap swapped out for a buckle or something else?

This is my second pair of the Gamma Pants. I love them for everyday and hiking. They are comfortable and durable and look very nice on. Fit is true to size

These are one of my first Arc pants purchased and I've had an overall good experience with them. They are definitely a staple pant that you can use for various activities like hiking, walking, climbing or even just casually. I like how comfortable they feel on the skin, and the breathability it provides. My only concern is the fit, they fit me well around my thighs but are pretty tapered and tighter around my calves. But other than that, I've had a good experience with them and have no quality issues!

Disappointed. The fit was Just totally off. I have slim waist and wide hips and the fabric was creasing in the crotch and on my bottom in the least flattering way

Ok pair of climbing pants Bought this last month. It’s my 4th of 4 pairs. They’ve changed the snap around the waistband and now the snap on my most recent pair pops open whenever I’m doing a dynamic movement. Very annoying. I think they also changed the cut as the thighs feel a bit tighter than previous pairs.

If this pant goes through a fit (and possibly fabric) overhaul, it will be great. I will outline what my experience was, and note that your mileage may vary based upon weight, body type, proportions, sound sensitivity, and so on. SOME REALLY NICE ATTRIBUTES: 1. Extremely comfortable; fabric moves with the body 2. Ultra flexible: you can move into and out of any position 3. Lightweight & breathable 4. Nice length on the regular (I am 5’8”) 5. Adjustable at the ankles (always looking for joggers) 6. Easily layers over merino leggings without binding 7. Fabric looks durable 8. Water-resistant NEEDS IMPROVEMENT: 1. The sound of the fabric. The dealbreaker for me (in fact, the main reason I returned them), was that there is so much material at and/or between the knees, that with every single step (at any pace), there was a LOUD, swishing sound, announcing my presence as I walked. I like to move quietly about the world, and I do not want the sound of my clothing to draw attention and annoyance toward me, or to distract me from the (((flow))) of my activity. They were loud indoors. They were loud outdoors. They were louder than any pants I have ever owned. This problem was limited to the location between the knees only, and was not an issue anywhere else. 2. The waist is MUCH too high, and the cut thereof is MUCH too small. For those of us who cannot tolerate any high-waisted garments, this is another dealbreaker when sizing up cannot remedy the problem. Ordinarily, I wear a size 6 in pants, but due to the narrow, high waist, and tight bottom area, I had to size up to an 8 in order to drop the waist down to the hips where it was supposed to be. Sizing up fixed the waist issue, but then the area covering the bottom became much too large, baggy, and would not hold its shape. This was frustrating. 3. The adjustable ankle is a welcome idea, as I am always looking for water-resistant rain and/or snow pants that have more of a jogger style, and are slim, tapered or gathered, and smaller at the ankle. The problem with the adjustment cord on the Gamma (I tried the December 2023 version in black, regular), is that once you appropriately tighten the cord, the tail is so long that it falls out from under the ankle of the pant when you walk, and gets stepped on. There needs to be a better way to stow this cord, that will not lead to getting caught and/or damaged underfoot. I am: 5’8” 125-135 lbs Slim & athletic Extremely active Long torso & long arms

I loved the colour! These are my favourite pants. I have 4 gamma pants now. They’re light, dry quickly and flexible. I love them for everyday and perfect for camping.

I have another pair of these pants so was excited to purchase them on Black Friday. I wore them for the first time last week and they tore right through the logo…maybe when I pulled my harness on? I reached out to Arc’teryx but they said this damage was “wear and tear”, so nothing they can do. I’m disappointed because I paid more than I’m comfortable with for these pants thinking they would be part of my outdoor wardrobe for years and they didn’t last one wear. I will try to repair them myself so that my money isn’t totally wasted but very disappointed in the quality of the product and the customer service.

I bought these pants in the purple/pinkish color last spring and they quickly became my *favorite* pant to guide in. I guide single pitch rock climbing in Acadia National Park and these pants are the first outdoor pants that have fully fit my waist and booty without bagginess AND with plenty of stretch for my bendy needs. I bought them in black too for when I am bleeding and I got the "light" version in orange. I like the OG gamma better than the light version but both are hella comfy. My only qualm is the belt buckle thing comes undone a lot when getting moved by the harness, but the pants stay on anyway so it isn't a huge deal. They have a gusset in the crotch so they are comfortable without underwear on, which is pretty epic on hot summer days or if you need quick pee access to drop your pants while wearing a harness on a multi-pitch climb without wanting to deal with the hassle of also getting underwear back on under a harness They dry super fast. I have a pelvic floor dysfunction and have literally peed myself wearing these while on a big alpine route and they dried out in 20-30 minutes with wind. I have worn them doing a lot of climbing, including crack climbing and chimney climbing and they only have a few minor rips on the pockets where I either had good luck rocks or my phone inside to provide a hard surface for the outside rock to rub against and create a tear in the fabric. My legs be bruised but the pants are going strong. Will definitely be buying more in other fun colors.

I'm a big fan of these pants, I've been using them for climbing and alpine adventures. I have a hard time finding pants for climbing as someone with a smaller waist and bigger thighs - I love how stretchy they are! These pants are really lightweight which is nice for warmer weather but also pretty delicate - I wish they were more durable & a little bummed that I already have tears in these pants because I like them a lot!

I've had a pair of Gamma Pants for over 2 years now and can't say enough good things. Lightweight, comfortable and extremely durable - they've help up to many climbing sessions and kept my legs safe. Highly recommend for climbers, hikers and backpackers.

Most reviews would've talked about how great these pants are for hiking and climbing all seasons, but I mostly want to rave about how these were the perfect travel pants for me over a 3-week trip. The Gamma Pants are so stretchy but holds their shape. Slim through the thighs with a straight cut at the bottom. Never a wrinkle, doesn't look like you came from a hike (but you can in them of course), comfortable on 10+ hr flights and 20k step days, so many functional pockets, weather resistant, and so quick to dry. I do echo one reviewer's sentiment that rise of these pants sit slightly awkward and the material can bunch around the waist when tightened, but not enough to be a deterrent personally. Would love to see this in a women's jogger fit!

I bought this and just received it yesterday. I’m 5’7 and I purchased a size 8R, it fits me perfectly and it’s not too short or too long. It’s the perfect length and fits my body perfectly. I definitely feel like this was worth the money.

Lightweight and very comfortable throughout! 4-way stretch is perfect for my 27" thigh and 17" calf circumferences! These are tight like leggings which I prefer. I can still wear Arc'teryx Essent leggings as base layer just fine. Plus, it allows for me to buy perfect size for waist while still fitting snuggly at my narrow straight hips and flatter backside. There is no give at the waist belt but the material is still comfortable if it fits. It would dig in if purchased too small. I'm thrilled with the fit overall!

I love these pants. Great for hiking in all season. I have them in all colors. Very comfy and the fit is great. I am 5’2” and I am happy that they have short inseam sizes.

Very happy. I have a pair of Gamma AR already for colder days. These are nice and light and do a great job keeping the cold and wind out. Surprisingly warmer than I expected. Fits as advertised.
