Good fabric, very poor fit

Good quality fabric and liked the design of the hood and collar. Apart from that a very poor quality fit. Way too loose around the sleeves, fabric bunches at the shoulders and arms etc. Not a good cut at all. Tried the L and liked it but was way too tight. XL - don't even go there. Who models these things?

Denne genseren er min favoritt. Den er er behagelig å ha på, isolerer akkurat passe under aktivitet, har solide materialer og tar lite plass. For meg har den et stort bruksområde. Jeg bruker den til klatring, fjellvandring, kalde løpeturer, langrenn, toppturer på vinteren, før og etter trening og til hverdags.

Way too expensive (but great fabric)

It would be a fine jacket if was not so expensive. The fabric is excellent, seems warm and light at the same time, I like it better than the Polartec fabric used on the previous Delta. Fit is a little too loose for such a jacket, the arms for instance have too much fabric and tend to bunch up. I would love a crew neck sweater made in that fabric (I think it makes a lot more sense than a hoodie like this) for 50 euros/dollars less. Again, the price is borderline disrespectful of the customer, it is basically the same pattern as the Rho Lt Hoody, so why is it so much more expensive? I am returning it despite the obvious quality of the fabric.

Thanks for the response. My point is precisely that I don’t see the “arc’ advantage” as you call it here. The fit is poor, too oversized in my opinion, and, apart from the fabric, I don’t see much innovation here. I understand that some people are willing to pay more because there is an arcteryx logo on it, but your price justification centered on supposed research and north American manufacturing is a bit off mark, PR word salad, since this jacket is made in Vietnam and the pattern used here pretty common in the arcteryx catalogue. In fact the price would be much more palatable if the jacket was made in Canada.
