Question 2

Hello there! I am comparing this to Voronoi Pant Wool. Could you tell me which one is more suitable for a winter environment?

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, great question! Both pants are good options for colder temperatures in a city setting. The Diode MX Pant uses a softshell material that provides excellent weather resistance, warmth, and breathability. It's heavier (496 g) and provides more protection against transitional weather, and is well-suited for colder, variable winter city environments. The Voronoi Wool Pant uses a wool-polyester blend material, which provides warmth with a softer feel. Although these pants are also treated with a DWR finish to shed light moisture, they are lighter (300 g) and less thick than the Diode MX Pant, so better suited for milder winter days. If you are looking for maximum weather protection and warmth for winter conditions, the Diode MX Pant may be the better option. If you prefer a refined wool look with lighter coverage for cool but not harsh winter conditions, the Voronoi Wool Pants are a great choice. Please note that we offer free shipping and free returns within 30 days of purchase and delivery, so you’re welcome to order both styles, try them on, and return whichever doesn’t work for you at no extra cost.
