Question 1

How do you fit a water bladder in the pack?

River, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hello there, thank you for your question! The Aerios 35 Backpack is designed to make reservoir setup quick and secure. Inside the main compartment, you’ll find a dedicated bladder sleeve along the back panel; simply slide your water reservoir into that sleeve and use the internal hanger to clip the bladder in place so it stays upright as you move. Once it’s secured, route the hose through the hydration port usually found at the top of the pack, and you’re ready to go with a stable, clean setup that keeps water easily accessible on the trail.

Question 2

Will this fit a 23" torso?

River, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hello there, for the Aerios 35 Backpack, the product measurements show a center‑back length of 50 cm for the Short and 54 cm for the Regular. Since a 23" torso is about 58 cm, the Regular size will be the closest match and provide a more comfortable, balanced carry than the Short.

Question 3

Do you know when the black colour is going to be restocked? I was hoping to buy it before I go do the Tour du Mont Blanc in a month!

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Charlotte, thank you for reaching out. That sounds like an incredible adventure! At this time, we do not have specific restock dates or a timeline for when the Aerios 35 Backpack will go back in stock. That said, availability will fluctuate as we move through the seasons, and we recommend using the "Notify Me" feature on the product page to be updated as soon as the size and colour you are looking for goes back in stock. You're also welcome to sign up for the Arc'teryx newsletter to stay updated on product drops and exclusive offers, or look to an authorized Arc'teryx retailer for any additional item availability.

Question 4

is there a frame sheet in the back? I need to be able to bend it a bit to fit in Air Canada's personal item box, 17x13x6. Is that possible if it isn't fully loaded?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Stan, thanks for reaching out. The Aerios 35 Backpack features a highly breathable AeroForm back panel and is not designed to be bent. In this case, we recommend going with a smaller pack. We hope this helps!

Question 5

Can the harness pockets fit a bear spray canister?

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for your question. The Aerios 35 Backpack features two pockets on the backpack straps that accommodate 500mL soft flasks or devices, and could fit small to medium-sized bear spray canisters. We hope this helps!

Question 6

The sizing chart for chest circumference looks wrong with the max circumference at 57cm

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. The 57 cm measurement shown in the sizing chart is not the full chest circumference. It represents the garment laid flat, measured across the chest, which is half of the total circumference. We hope this helps!

Question 8

What is the size of the latéral pockets ? On some picture, it seems that it can hold a small (and light) tent, but I’m not sure it’s the case, and I wonder. Thanks in advance

Luna · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for your question, and for checking out the Aerios 35 Backpack! This pack is designed to offer excellent customization for hiking, thanks to its patent‑pending interchangeable harness system and three sizes of hip belt and shoulder strap. Regarding the side pockets, their approximate dimensions are 16.5 × 23.5 × 33.6 × 16.5 cm. Depending on how compact and lightweight your tent is, it may fit in one of the side pockets, particularly if it packs down small. That said, fit can vary based on the tent’s shape and packed diameter. We also offer free returns, so you’re very welcome to order the pack and test whether your tent fits comfortably in the side pocket. If it doesn’t work for your setup, you can return it easily. You can find the details here: https://arcteryx.com/us/en/help/returns. We hope this helps!

Question 9

The pack says "water repellent," but does it have or need a built in rain cover? Is the pack waterproof for harsh conditions in any way?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Nick, thanks for reaching out. The Aerios 35 Backpack is water repellent rather than waterproof. It is constructed with 210D Cordura nylon and treated with an FC0 DWR finish, which helps shed snow and light precipitation. It does not include a built-in rain cover, and for sustained or heavy rain, we recommend using a separate waterproof pack cover or internal dry bags to help protect your gear. We hope this helps!

Question 10

I’m 5’9 and on the thinner size. I’m not sure if I should order a regular or short size? Any suggestions? I know there’s measurements online but doesn’t help too much because im not sure how it’s supposed to fit on my back

Luna · Accepted Answer

Hi Stephanie, thank you for your question and for checking out the Aerios 35 Backpack! We know fit and comfort are key to a great hiking experience. We recommend using our sizing chart to compare your back length with the suggested range for each size. We also offer free returns, so you’re welcome to order both and keep the one that fits best. You can find the details here: https://arcteryx.com/us/en/help/returns. We hope this helps!
