it gets the job done but its too thin and feels like its gonna rip if i do something wrong with it other than that it is very water proof and does everything else very well so a well earned four stars it would be nice if it was just a heavier weight material just so that it will last longer being so thin. Great Replacement for the Zeta

First let me say how easy it was too work with the Arc Service team. My Zeta jacket from a few years ago had some issues, so I was sent a credit with no questions within a few weeks. This made it very simple for this swap. I was worried about replacing my previous jacket with the Beta because the reviews I read stated that the Beta was shorter than the Zeta. I am 6'4", 275lbs and the Beta fits PERFECTLY. There is plenty of room with just a tee or baselayer under this jacket, and fits like a glove with a hoodie or sweatshirt underneath. I couldn't be happier with the fit. This jacket seems like it's lighter than the Zeta which is another plus because it will make this jacket more comfortable in the spring and rainy summer days. The quality seems top notch, but I haven't been able to use it much besides wearing to work on a rainy/sleety day.

Unreal jacket

Got this jacket for multi day hikes where weather can change quickly. It's got good waterproof in heavy rain, it's very lightweight and packs up small. I did tear it a bit on a fence line and fixed it with tenacious tape and still works amazing. Also I have used it for mountain biking and it gets really muddy but never stains the colour! 10/10 would buy again

Very good quality! Lightweight and durable. Also great for casual wear. Slim fit cut - quite narrow but also able to combined with an hoodie and a cerrium lt. The hood is narrow over a bike helmet but ok.

Great jacket but it fits tight

I have previously owned other Arc'teryx jackets in the XL size but found too much space in the body, so I decided to get the Beta in Large instead. The sleeves and body are the perfect length but the waist is incredibly tight to the point that I can barely zip it up. Unfortunately I'm not able to wear anything more than a thin t-shirt underneath or I cant zip it up, not exactly ideal for a winter coat. I don't understand how there can be such a difference is sizing between the XL and L

Not very exciting zip colour.

So far so good, bought this jacket last month. I will say it’s quite thin. I bought the black multi version which came with the excitement of the zips coming in a range of vibrant colours. I was quite disappointed to receive the very non exciting colour of a grey zip. Would have been the colour zip I would have chosen. Jacket hasn’t really had a full test out yet, so looses a star for the boring zip, after so much promise.

Insufficient Breathability - Needs Pit Zips

This is a high-quality jacket, and the gore-tex and seams have performed flawlessly after 8 months of regular use. Originally I told the salesperson in the store (downtown Chicago) that I wanted pit-zips, but they convinced me the newer materials breathed well enough that pit zips weren't required. Unfortunately, my experience says otherwise (even for extended brisk walks with minimal layering, let alone highly aerobic activities). While I love some of the other design choices, like a normal sized hood, I will never buy another shell without pit zips. Given another chance, I would gladly spend more money for this feature, and as such can not recommend this feature.

Simplistic, everyday jacket.

I'm a huge fan of Arc'teryx. I purchased this jacket because I was looking for a more casual, non-technical shell, and I believe the Beta Jacket meets that description. The jacket feels softer on the inside and outside, making it more wearing than my Alpha LT. The hood functions flawlessly, and a single adjustment accomplishes its purpose in a somewhat more straightforward manner. Finally, everything looks good with the colour Void.

Multi-function system

This was a Replacement of same model from fantastic customer service. Jacket is very light weight and is deceptive. You do t feel much but blocking wind does a lot as far as warmth. I went with this over other Beta mostly for the inside pocket. The inside pocket is very small so keep in mind. Fits over a 750 down coat and does not restrict movement. This is a great little system

Amazing jacket

Perfect rain jacket for all adventures. I researched the market extensively before purchasing the Beta. I don’t need helmet coverage with this shell, so I appreciate the lower profile hood. Really like the lightweight yet durable material, and love the color. So far have use it in the rain for running, hiking, flyfishing for steelhead, climbing in the Enchantments, walking to lunch, watching a college football game.

Great Jacket

I bought this jacket two months ago and finally got some heavy rain to test it out thanks to hurricane season. I am 6'2 roughly 160 and got the large and I'm sure there will be enough room to layer for the colder months, without it looking or feeling too large when not layering. I understand it's supposed to be simple and lightweight, but I feel pit zips should come on every shell. Definitely not a dealbreaker, I still love this jacket.

Perfect all round jacket

I bought this jacket about a month ago and it’s truly amazing. I live in Manhattan and mainly use it as an everyday rain shell. We’ve experienced a good 3 weeks of on and off heavy rain and this jacket has kept me completely dry. The water just beads right off!! This jacket is also extremely versatile. I can wear it with a pair of shorts or sweatpants, as well as a dress shirt and dress pants. I’m excited to take it up to the mountains and see its full capabilities, but for the time being, I’m over the moon about this thing. I will definitely be purchasing more, and trying out all the company has to offer!!

Es nuestra chaqueta GORE-TEX más versátil. Fabricada con un duradero tejido exterior 80D y una membrana GORE-TEX ePE (polietileno expandido) ligera, resistente y sin PFC, proporciona una protección impermeable, cortaviento y transpirable con una reducida huella de carbono. El forro C-KNIT añade confort, y la capucha StormHood abulta poco y se ajusta para cubrir bien sin mermar el campo de visión. Su articulación elimina restricciones, y un reflector RECCO ayudará en situaciones de emergencia.
